Q: Will this work with iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd generation )
A: I have 2018 version and it works perfect.
Q: Will this work on an iPad Pro 12.9 1st generation
A: Absolutely not. I made the mistake of purchasing this keyboard for my 1st generation ipad pro, drove 25 miles each way to pick it up and found out that it's only compatible with 3rd generation. Stupid me, it says so right on the box. Best Buy needs to make this clear in the advertisement as it says nothing about what ipad pros it's compatible with then the FAQ answers state that it is compatible with 1st generation devices. There's a couple of hours I'll never get back.
