If you are a Rob Zombie fan you'll LOVE 31
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for 31 to come out forever, I finally saw it today, I loved it. It's undeniably a Rob Zombie film but it's a no holds barred straight up slasher flick! In my opinion his best since The Devils Rejects The plot is simple. It's 1976 and a group of 5 carnival workers get kidnapped and must play a demented game called 31. The carnival workers have to survive 12 hours locked in warehouse with bunch of insane killer clowns. As with Zombies films the cast is great because he uses actors that are good but have been somewhat retired for one reason or another. The stand outs are Richard Brake Lawrence Hilton Jacobs and Meg Foster but all others are effective in their roles too. It's non stop action, blood and gore from beginning to end and Zombie doesn't wimp out with the raunchiness and grit either. Richard Brake was spellbinding and down right disturbing as the craziest clown of them all Doom Head. If you are a Rob Zombie fan or just a slasher fan in general I highly recommend this. Then again as with all of Zombie's films people either love them or hate them. There's usually no middle ground. It is rated R but gets away with quite a bit. I hear there's an NC-17 directors cut coming soon, can't wait for that!

Underrated Zombie flick
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review."31" is a favorite Rob Zombie flick of mine. Good features and digital copy. Strangers get out into a psycho game where elites (including Malcolm McDowell in a wig and powdered make-up) make them fight for survival against killers. Funny, gory, and wild. If you don't know if this your thing do some research. Horror violence and bloody gore are regular characters in his films.

Not a good movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overly gory and unnecessary, Rob Zombie pays homage to the b-film horror movies of the 70s/80s with 31, a film that never even explains its own name. For an homage film, it satisfies every intent. As a quality film, 31 fails to provide any kind of character or plot development on its path of gore. Thats just the movie. I don't recommend the movie. But if you want to buy the film and already like it, the blu-ray is obviously the way to go. plenty of features.

I give it a 6/10 for content, but worth the buy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you think you're getting a great movie that is something to look for at awards shows, then don't get it. If you want something creepy, gory, and made by Rob Zombie, it's perfect! 6/10 for a movie overall, but 9/10 if you need something spooky for the fall season.

Still, it's Rob Zombie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big R.Z. fan, and 31 was okay, it wasn't anything like his previous movies; House of 1000 Corpses, or Devil's Rejects, which if you are a horror fanatic, I definitely recommend both of those movies. Rob just announced or is about to announce a sequel to Devil's Rejects, so be sure to look for that movie as well. The best part was, Best Buy had all the previous titles available. It's shocktober time at Best Buy...

Great Scares and Characters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always love Rob Zombie flicks and this falls in line with his style and feel of good gore and tense demented characters. The only thing I feel it lacked was character development. The whole film I didn't care much about any of the leads because there was not back story. And who were these characters who developed the 31 game and why? Where do the "baddies" come from? Etc. Was good to watch, but left with a bunch of questions.

Good Zombie Flick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's your basic Rob Zombie horror movie. Lots of blood and gratuitous violence. The one thing that sets this one apart is the performance of Richard Brake. His slow and deliberate monologues to the camera are crisp and chilling. He has a look and demeanor that sells this whole movie. A fun ride for any Zombie fans...not so much if you aren't already into his style.
