3Doodler - Start Super Mega 3D Pen Set

This looked like an interesting idea so I just decided to try it...and haven't stopped yet! It is super easy to use right out of the box. The tip does not get too hot, so it is great for beginners. The plastic is easy to weld together but pops right off of paper so it is easy to trace things and build from there. I made a rocket ship from one of the green plastic guides. Super easy instructions. Got a bunch of cool patterns online and made a helicopter with moving parts. Check out the 3doodler online community. Only drawback I found was not enough colors, but I called the company and they said they are planning on adding some. Awesome toy for either kids or seniors with active imaginations! And yes, you can really draw up from your surface, it just takes a little patience.

This pen is great for kids and beginners that want to get into 3d printing. I bought this pen to see if I had the patience to do 3d printing with a pen, here's the pros and cons Pro It's wireless, once it's charged you can use it anywhere. You can touch the tip and not get burned, this makes it great for kids. The kit comes with a good amount of filament in various colors and stencils to get you started. It's quite easy to learn how to use the pen, there's two buttons. You have a little bit of time to readjust the filament after you start drawing. Cons Because it doesn't get very hot you can only use their brand of filament. It melts at a low temperature. Filament comes in short sticks, if you need to only use half of a stick you won't be able to get the other half out without using it. This leads to a lot of wasted filament. The filament doesn't harden quick which can make it difficult if you are trying to draw up into the air. When you insert the filament it ends up mostly inside the pen, this makes it difficult to see how much you have left. When you go to switch filament colors it seems like there is quite a bit of the last color left in the pen even if it wasn't feeding anymore. I recommend running it away from your project until the other color is gone before going back to your project.

The kit has a good selection and amount of colors and example designs. The pen works well and as advertised, does not get hot to the touch, which is great for kids. The one drawback is the short battery life. It seems to only last 20-30 minutes, which is not enough time to do most creations. AFAIK, you cannot use it while it is charging.

Even though my 7 year old wanted this I thought it was a rediculous toy. To my surprise it is actually and interesting, creative outlet. He can either follow one of the patters provided to use his imagination to create 3D images. I was pleasantly surprised at this and would recommend it for other kids who enjoy being creative.

I bought this at the request of my 11 year old grandson for his Birthday! He loves it and has been using it every spare minute since he got it. He is hard to please & I am delighted.

This doodler is great. My 9 year old daughter enjoys making the flower pots and glasses. It's very easy to figure out how to use and a fun time.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. However, it isn't until mid October. It looks like a great product, and I know she will love it. Just unsure of the quality right now.

I bought this for my 7 year old niece and she loves it as much as I do. She's been making toys for her to play with and found it very easy to use. Definitely an great toy for kids to get creative.
