When ever I buy something from best buy. If they offer geek squad protection. Most the time it is wise to get it. Being able to have them come to your home or bring the item to them to fix or replace is way better than having to get on the phone with someone in who knows where to try a get your problem fixed. And there protection plan is usually better than what comes with the product

What can onbe say, you get exactly what you pay for, so if you're willing to pay just a little bit extra for the piece of mind that you don't have to worry about sending the radar detector back to its manufacture if it breaks, so all you have to do is bring it back to any Best Buy location and you'll get a new one then this is a bargain for you, it was for me.

This is more of a preference thing I haven't really used it, and I paid for it for a couple times but obviously that it's just my opinion if you ever need that extra help it is always right there to help you, but I usually always get the protection because it's always good to have and not to have it, useful if you ever break anything the insurance is there
