About this item
You're excited to buy a new car electronics product — now, make sure to protect it. Geek Squad® Protection enhances your manufacturer warranty and gives you extended coverage when the warranty ends.
Geek Squad Protection often covers important repairs that your manufacturer warranty doesn't. If something goes wrong after the manufacturer warranty ends, rest easy; you won't be stuck with a huge repair bill. Geek Squad Protection has your back and will take care of any covered repairs.
If there's a failure from normal wear and tear, we'll repair it.
This could be a problem with an internal part, or how the product was manufactured. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity. Accidental damage is not included.
If your battery won't hold a charge, we'll replace it.
Get a one-time replacement for your original non-disposable battery if it fails to hold a charge.
If your screen has bad pixels or a shadow image, we'll correct it.
If you have at least three pixels that are always the same color or a ghost image that won't go away, we'll get your screen looking like new.
We'll reinstall your car electronics product.
After we repair your product, we'll reinstall it if we originally installed it.
You'll never pay for parts and labor.
100% of the costs of parts and labor are covered on qualified repairs, with no hidden fees.
You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection.
When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.
When something goes wrong, we're always here to help.

- A: AnswerHello LewisB – You’ll want to get that checked out by an Autotech at your local store. It could be an issue with the radio itself, or with the installation. Please give your local Best Buy a call or visit to set up a time to get it checked out.

Love it
|The radio is nice. It fixed my problems with my 5ch amp making weird noise. The screen is huge. I plan on adding 3 cameras on top of the factory reverse.

Trained?
|I had one decent interaction through the whole experience. I ordered the unit online for pick up, scheduled a service. The only good interaction occurred when a GS Technician called to tell me they were missing a part and apologized that I would need to get it elsewhere. Went over the unit and the expectations, continued to my appointment. I met with another technician who was the opposite of the definition of customer service. Explained that I purchased the unit I did so that I can have Apple Car Play and the XM radio. I dropped off my car and left. Roughly an hour later the technician calls and asks how important the XM was to me, as it turned out there was more parts needed that were not ordered, and not available. Explained he already started the process of the install and suggested I just let him out the stereo in and come back. Absolutely not, I wanted it all done in one day. So I had to push this appointment out another week and half waiting on the parts. Day comes for install, dropped my car off hours before the appointment time and waited. When they called and said the car was ready I went to get it, and left. Got home late and got a good look at the unit the next day. Overall not a bad unit, pleased with it. What I’m not please with is the placement of the usb. You have “trained staff” and I got a new cut in my vehicle that was unnecessary for its location, and it’s going to cause issues down the road for the wire. I’ll attach the photos. Also, I found what looks like a mount left out of the install, why? Hours of having the vehicle, and being the second time you were working on it. Why not use a flush Mount to the dash? Cut the hole below the rubber mat in the back of the bin to prevent damage? Use the 12v existing outlet space and replace it with a Apple Play usb? Use the factory usb? WHY NOT CALL YOUR CUSTOMER TO DISCUSS THIS PRIOR TO CUTTING INTO THIER INTERIOR SO THEY CAN DECIDE WHERE TO RUN IT FROM!

Geeek squad irritated my soul.
|Make sure you understand that when purchasing this that it is NOT as I was explained nor does it seem to be an available option at purchase of car stereo a replacement plan they WILL have you drive to whichever bestbuy they choose and all the person there will do at first is basic troubleshooting… after pressing the same reset button that I was told to press almost two weeks before wince I had to wait about 1.5 weeks for an available appointment for the man to press said reset button, he had me drive to the front of the store (I am disabled so walking from the installation in the back of the store wasn’t an option) so that they could tell me that they were going to ship my stereo system out to be repaired (even though the website still tracks it as an “in-store repair”) and that if it couldn’t be repaired they “possibly will replace it, and install it” whenever they have an appointment available… which is crazy because legit when I pulled up not one person was doing any work at all in the mobile installation section at the back of the building. So I am currently despite paying extra money to avoid this kind of situation, driving around with a hole in the middle of my console… but at least they’re trying to repair it and will possibly either return it to me and it was able to be repaired, and I think they’ll reinstall it, or they will replace it and install a new one as opposed to being out an extra $400 to just purchase a new one. The only person I felt like exhibited excellent customer service was the customer service guy not associated directly as a geek squad member. But the way the manager Aaron treated me especially as a “brother” sincerely leaves a lot to be desired… I was an understandably upset customer as well as a disabled Navy Veteran,
