Q: Can I grind chicken or beef without using the cutting blade???
A: Hi Sam, The food grinder attachment will not grind without the blade.
A: Hi Glasha, The Food Grinder attachment is capable of grinding dried peppers.
Q: Can this also be used to grind vegetables?
A: I will try but I would say no, the spiral part that pushes what ever you need to be ground to the blades would not push vegetables. It is designed to push meat texture, sometimes doesn’t even do that well unless the meat is very cold.

A: it is a food grinder. If you do not own a food grinder than buying an attachment on your already owned mixer is a convenient thing. it works perfectly fine compared to every grinder I've ever used. I mostly use mine for chicken breasts but it is definitely worth it. clean up is easy and you can store it just about anywhere.
A: I have researched before purchasing they port were the grinder attaches is a standard size port to receive attachments the the drive housing links right in and you tighten down the bolt to hold the attachment in place
A: Wondering the same thing, I hate hand washing the metal one, I think you only need to had wash 1/2 the plastic one.. so if it works as good I would get it.
Q: What is difference between KSMFGA and FGA mixer attachment
A: The KSMFGA is a newer product that mounts other KSM— attachments. The older FGA only mounts older non-KSM attachments. The overall design is roughly the same, but the KSMFGA's collar has five fins, while the FGA's collar has ten ribs and uses a wrench. The KSMFGA has a slightly larger port, so its attachments do not fit into the smaller FGA.

A: Hi Mylene, All of the attachments that use the hub of the mixer are universal on all KitchenAid stand mixer models, so the food grinder will work on the Artisan Mini..
