Poorly Designed.
Excellent for both cooling and heating. Powerful blower spreads the cool or warm air throughout the room. It cools and heats very fast. But it is very poorly designed. The display panel is not visible from anywhere in the room, so using the remote is almost worthless, because you cannot tell which function it is currently set to. You have to walk to the unit and look on top to figure it out. Only the tiny little button lights light up to show what function is currently running . The actual function symbols are not lit. They are dark gray on a black background and cannot be read without the use of a flashlight or other strong light. Another problem is the drain plug is so low to the floor no pan can be slid under the unit to drain the water. I have to wheel it out to my deck to drain it, And it needs draining constantly, especially when the heater is on. Not worth the price I paid for it.

Excellent machine!
I looked around for quite a while for a portable air conditioner and came across this Aeric combination portable a/c and heater. I didn't think I needed the heater but I have used it almost non stop in my basement and couldn't be happier. It warms up the room quickly and is quiet enough to listen to t.v. at a normal level. We had a recent hot day so I was able to use the a/c - just as amazing - runs quietly and effectively cooled the space in no time. The machine itself is very sturdy and has a small footprint so doesn't take up much space at all. Overall, I am very pleased with this machine and can highly recommend. A+
