Highlights

Features

  • M5 PRO CHIP—The M5 Pro chip brings extra power to take on demanding projects, with a next-generation CPU and faster unified memory. It’s a mighty force for on-device AI, delivering up to 4x faster AI performance,¹ thanks to a Neural Accelerator in each GPU core.

  • CONNECT IT ALL—Features three Thunderbolt 5 ports, an HDMI port, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port in the back and two USB-C ports and a headphone jack in front. Supports up to three external displays. With the Apple-designed N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.²

  • A POWERFUL PLATFORM FOR AI—Apple silicon speeds up demanding AI workflows like running LLMs, directly on device. Mac mini is ideal for using agents, enabling AI-powered data analyses to run overnight, and allowing teams to connect with agents from their iPhone.

  • MEMORY AND STORAGE—M5 Pro has 307GB/s of bandwidth and up to 2x faster storage.³ That means faster renders and larger file support, whether you’re a researcher loading custom datasets or a video editor using ProRes RAW files.

  • LOOKS SMALL. LIVES LARGE—The ultracompact Mac mini fits perfectly under a monitor or is mini enough to set up just about anywhere.

  • ROBUST MACOS—macOS runs apps lightning fast with its advanced operating system. It features Siri AI,⁴ a capable assistant with personal context understanding and broad world knowledge, and Apple Intelligence⁵ seamlessly integrated into everyday apps and experiences. And with window tiling, Sidecar, and more, you can stay productive.

  • IF YOU LOVE IPHONE, YOU’LL LOVE MAC—Mac works like magic with your other Apple devices. View and use what’s on your iPhone from your Mac with iPhone Mirroring.⁲ Or copy something on iPhone and paste it on Mac.

  • SECURE BY DESIGN—Apple silicon helps protect even the most sensitive business data like IP and PII, so it remains private and on device. And it’s easy for IT teams to manage devices with native support for device management solutions.

Mac mini Desktop - M5 Pro chip

The Mac mini with the M5 Pro chip is an impressive desktop computer that combines powerful performance with a compact, space-saving design. I really appreciate how much capability Apple has packed into such a small device. The 24GB of memory is a great configuration for multitasking, running demanding applications, and keeping multiple projects open at the same time. The M5 Pro chip makes this an appealing option for productivity, creative work, and AI-related tasks. The compact silver design also looks clean and modern on a desk without taking up much space. The 512GB SSD provides fast storage for everyday files and applications, although users with large video libraries or extensive project files may want additional external storage. I also appreciate having connectivity options on both the front and back, which makes connecting accessories more convenient. Overall, this Mac mini offers an excellent balance of performance, size, and versatility. It is a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful desktop setup without the bulk of a traditional tower computer. I would recommend it to users who want a capable, compact Mac for both everyday productivity and more demanding workloads. Pros: Compact design, powerful M5 Pro chip, 24GB memory, fast SSD storage, and versatile connectivity. Cons: The 512GB storage capacity may be limiting for users with large files, and a monitor, keyboard, and mouse need to be purchased separately if you do not already own them. Overall, a very appealing desktop for users who value performance, efficiency, and a clean workspace.
