I am a huge R&G fan, I was very disappointed in Cuba, after hearing this was going to be more "rock & roll" I thought oh no....but, upon first listen my concerns were gone....this is generally just a really solid effort...I could live without the vocal overlay on the 3rd track but it does not render it unlistenable....

it's another solid offering from rod y gab, even though there's no one particular song that stands out. still, overall, a good album

Rod & Gab aren't all that productive given the length of time they've been popular. This is actually only their third album of all new material. In fact, their last CD, while excellent, was just prior material re-recorded with additional instrumentation. Having said that, it's nice to have new material from these guys, even if it isn't breaking any new musical ground. For the uninitiated, Rodrigo y Gabriela play flamenco music with a rock and roll attitude. Much of their music is original composition, but they have also recorded some covers, including songs by Metallica and Led Zeppelin. Worth a listen for any guitar fan.
