A: Hello! Yes, this will turn on. The control is equipped with a heat sensor that will turn on the blower to the highest speed if excessive heat occurs around the control area. ■ If the blower is On or Off, the blower will automatically set to the highest speed. “Auto” will appear in the display to indicate that the heat sensor has detected excessive heat. ■ When the blower is operating due to excessive heat detected by the heat sensor, the blower speed cannot be decreased. ■ When the temperature level on the hood drops to normal, the blower will return to its setting before the excessive heat was sensed.

Average ~ Mediocre product only
This isn't a great product as we expected a lot from Kitchen Aid. The functionality is good, but sometimes the fan produces weird noise and then going normal automatically. Timer doesn't work! It don't turn off automatically after the time is done.

So Far Bad Experiences
First let me say I love my Best Buy, the employees are always willing to help & give you there honest opinion .... I paid top $$$$ on all my New KitchenAid appliances , so when we received my Hood & geek squad installed the hood the KitchenAid emblem was on crooked , & long story short my Hood doesn’t work... they said they think it was installed wrong.... But BestBuy said they are going to make things right....

good hood
Hood works great. Light is very bright and fan is functional. Aesthetically, I think KitchenAid could have done a little more, but we like it
