It's one of those movies that should be watched once a year like Star Wars. A well written and directed picture, when watching it you would discover that films that you thought would be uninteresting but soon realize it was over and you'd like to press 'Play again'.

This is a very well done movie about the rise and fall of a demagogue. Everybody should see this especially during an election year. Andy Griffith does an outstanding job; arguably his best acting ever by him. Criterion did a wonderful job of preserving the video and audio. Highly recommended!

Another masterpiece by the great Elia Kazan. This is one of those magical films that once you've seen, you never forget. If you haven't seen this and it sounds interesting to you, get it.
