We are using the Acer Predator Orion as a server for our business software and it working above and beyond what I expected. We have continuous service and it's lightening fast. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade

Experiencing modern games again has been a blast

My only type of PC gaming done in the past has been my Dell G7 gaming laptop. It was equipped with the then new GTX 1060 (mobile) graphics card. It’s been nearly seven years since I purchased that (also from Best Buy), so it was time to finally upgrade. I initially purchased this desktop to power my virtual pinball machine. Running the latest version of VPX was no problem - cranking up the visuals and playing stutter-free virtual pinball was magnificent compared to my aging Dell G7. The RTX 4070 Super in this machine is more than capable for vpin, so I wanted to venture into my second favorite virtual application - virtual reality! Revisiting Valve’s Half Life Alyx was mind blowing (which I first played through on the Dell G7). With the graphics automatically set to High Fidelity, I got to experience City 17 all over again in photo-realistic visuals. Spending countless times reading the labels of the various objects in the world, seeing individual dust particles floating in front of my eyes, and playing through the “Jeff” chapter again was so immersive! With Alyx completed again, I needed to jump into another VR title, but wanted to play something on a more vast scale - No Man’s Sky in virtual reality was next on my list. No Man’s Sky, like Half Life Alyx, was a visual treat. Unlike the aforementioned title, NMS put the RTX 4070 Super to the test. There were minor micro stutters in game’s automatically assigned High settings for this card, so I dialed back some of the visual settings for a smoother experience. There is a feature from Nvidia that some games support, and that’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) - which was foreign to me. I enabled the setting in NMS’s game settings and immediately saw more frames without being more taxing on the RTX 4070 Super! Now I’m traveling the galaxy nearly stutter-free in VR (this is more likely optimization of the game than the card’s ability). With all that said, I have been really happy with this Acer prebuild. The RGB LEDs look great, the fans run quiet, and the ability to play VR in high fidelity is wonderful. My only minor gripe for this desktop was similar prebuilds have double the solid state drive installed, but catching the lower price +$300 and getting a price adjustment on my original purchase, I can live with only 1TB. A great gaming desktop that should last for years, looking forward to playing modern games again!

    Worth it!

Pc works wonderfully! It runs games like Security breach and Overwatch at full graphics easily even while streaming. The pc itself is very quiet although it can get loud when under a heavy load but I personally haven’t found that an issue. I would recommend it overall ^^
