Great keyboard
Great keyboard, this is the second one I purchased because my experience with the first one about 6 years ago. Very easy to use, plug'n'play.

Pricey but effective
I use the keyboard on a computer connected to a large HD flat panel. The device worked right out of the box and has been working well ever since. I did notice that if I turned the keyboard off (small switch on the bottom) it did not reattach (at least not fast enough for me). I attached a spare keyboard and mouse (USB) and reattached the KB and have left it on since then to avoid any delay. I have used many remote KB, I have two Logitech KB/mouse sets (detached), an Eclipse roller-ball/KB and several others, but this one is great.

You've been warned . . .
I purchased this keyboard as a companion to my HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer) under the auspices that I would be able to do all my computing from the comfort of my sofa. Setting up the keyboard was a simple task that took about ten minutes--no drivers were needed for my Windows XP operating system. Once this was completed, the keyboard seemed to be working great--I opened up Microsoft Office and typed without a problem; the keys seemed perfectly fine and there was no wireless lag between keystrokes. However, there was one major problem: the track pad was COMPLETELY DEAD!!! The biggest reason anyone could want this keyboard if for the ultra-convenience of a built-in track pad, eliminating the need for a separate mouse and making life much easier (in theory, at least). Without the track pad, this is just another cheap, average keyboard worth $20. If that. If the keyboard keys worked fine, this obviously was a problem specific to the track pad itself, and I tried a myriad of different things to remedy the situation: re-started my computer several times, unplugged and re-plugged the keyboard, Googled Adesso keyboard problems, read Adesso literature, checked to make sure I had no programs interfering with the keyboard, you name it. Also, the Adesso support website kept coming up with a 404 Error and was completely inaccessible using THREE different browsers. I'm VERY well-versed in computers--I work on OTHER people's computers--and I'm confident that I tried everything possible. Now, I can only imagine someone who's NOT computer savvy trying to deal with this. A call to Adesso confirmed my worst fears in dealing with an unknown company: these people know NOTHING about their own products. The "support tech" I talked to barely spoke English and seemed absolutely clueless about anything to do with this item. I inquired as to whether anyone else had called with a similar track-pad problem and he avoided the question. Instead, he told me the track pad probably had a short in it, so I should pack everything up and send it back. Huh? That's it? No other suggestions? No questions for me about my computer or operating system? Nothing else for me to try? Do these people even care about building and maintaining a loyal customer base? On top of everything else, the keyboard feels like a cheap child's toy--no heft, no substance, and HORRIBLY CHEAP plastic stickers on the keys that look like they might peel off in two weeks. However, if the keyboard had performed as expected and promised, I could have overlooked the shoddy workmanship. I ended up bringing this keyboard back to my local Best Buy store without a hitch, and now I'm back to researching wireless keyboards with built-in track pads to find something that actually works and is worth the money. You've been warned. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
