Affordable tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my 10 year old as a starter tablet. Amazon has tons of apps, games, and books for her to download. Although some of the apps that are free elsewhere cost money through amazon. I was able to set parental controls to keep her off the internet and downloading without my permission. The only thing it's missing is a camera.

Everything you need in a tablet except a camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything you need in a tablet except a camera. Great Screen Quality. Lightweight. Only drawbacks are no camera and the not quite an Android OS. Limited to apps written specifically the kindle fire hd (some of the older software that ran on the first edition of kindle fire will not run on this tablet...)

I love the Kindle Fire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Kindle Fire, I love that I can read without the lights on, i can play games and my grandkids can play games too. I also love that I can take with me and if there is WiFi I can watch Netflix on it. I think it's wonderful.

Better price than Amazon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected the quality of product that I received. I did not expect to have ads on the daggone thing. The price is better than Amazon's lowest price, but I do not at all remember reading in the description that it would have ads at the price I paid. I'm pretty annoyed, but not annoyed enough to pay Amazon additional money to remove the ads. The quality is there. Battery life is average. It gets moderate, casual use and I have not had a single problem with its performance.

Great personal entertainment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sales staff was not very informative. I did not know there was a first and second generation of the Kindle Fire HD 7". Everywhere I looked the description said it had a camera. I spent half a day trying to find out about it (because there is no owners manual included!) Just to discover, after making another trip up to the store, that the second generation doesn't come with a camera. wtf? I do however love the graphics. Wish the apps were a little easier for me to obtain and learn about without having to download them and figure them out and then find out it really isn't what i need and get rid of it. . It has a great deal of functions but short of already knowing all about how to use one of these gadgets...it is challenging to a newbie with out the owners manual. When you go to the internet...the different versions are not all that apparent and it is hard to find the second generation information online. Screen navigation is different between first and second generation as well. I do love my kindle though, I love they way you can see books on the cloud by their covers. There is sometimes streaming buffering a little more than I think there should be but that may be my wifi connection here at home. The product itself is great. Just more informative sales staff and easier instruction guides would be my two main desires to see.

Great tablet for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as tablets go this ones not too bad. The screen has a good picture and responds well to touch. The battery will last about 5-6 hours with my kids playing in it. It takes several hours to recharge and seems to take forever if you don't turn it compleatley off while charging it. It keeps locking my kids out where the screen will go compleatley black and no buttons will work, I had to google to find out you have to hold in the power button for 20 seconds to get it to unlock. The kindle free time is great if you have kids. It allows you to set play times and length of play as well as limiting internet and apps used. I would buy it again and actually did for my other kid.

Great Kindle - for adults and kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Kindle Fire is excellent. I've used it to play games and read. I wish that I would have purchased the one with the camera. My phone doesn't take the best pictures so I would have been able to use the Kindle instead. But that was my choice at the time. This Kindle Fire has everything I've needed so far but I haven't played around with everything. My son loves it too. He can play games, read, and even watch movies or tv shows. I did buy a screen protector and a rubber type case (which has a stand on the back). With kids I knew I needed a case and screen protector immediately.

Q: Questionis this new, used or reconditioned. and if i buy the one year warrenty is that an additional yearis this new , used or reconditioned
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Mine is new. I did not get the extended warranty. Kindle's come with a 1 year warranty with them. Now, if you drop and break it. Then you are on your own. I don't drop my Kindle so I didn't buy the warranty.
