Parents! Are you tired of your phone or tablet being commandeered by drooling sticky handed bandits? Are you done with your apps and photos disappearing after a 40 minute Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Appisode binge? Are you fed up with cracked and damaged phones by no fault of your own? Well, let me tell you about the Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet! At 1/7th the cost of an iPad and Lifeproof case, you can prevent your phone from becoming a $700 sticky cracked brick. The Fire 7 is your affordable answer. At just under $100, for the 16GB model, you can entertain your child for up to 8 hours. However, our professional toddler testing center has seen times closer to 6 hours in real world testing. Additionally, the charging time is a little slow; taking a few hours to charge fully. However, no child needs to spend 6 straight hours looking at a screen. The weight is lite, and with the case, it can withstand most drops from toddler height. We have only had it for a week, but our team of toddler researchers will continue to test to bring you the best insight to this device.

Overall this is a very nice tablet for the price. It comes with a protective shell cover so that if it is dropped by a child, it will likely not break. The shell cover comes in blue, yellow and pink. I bought the pink one for my 3 year old daughter. Thinking that this is a true android tablet, I assumed it would have Youtube and Youtube Kids on it. But, I soon discovered that this tablet does not have anything on it dealing with Google. My daughter loves Youtube kids, so this was not going to work for us. I googled the issue and found out that Amazon and Google are engaged in a fight and as a result no Google products exist on Amazon products. Clearly without Youtube kids, this tablet was going to be useless to us. So, I quickly went back to BB and returned it for the Samsung kids tab E.

We bought this before a trip to Disneyland in which we would be flying for our 2 year old, so we could load it with kids shows, and puzzles and educational games to keep him occupied on the airplane, and it works great, it's your standard android tablet with a nice hard rubber/foam case around it to help protect it from what children do best, Drop Things. Our 2 year old has only had it for a few weeks, but it's survived thus far, and honestly, worth the admission price for a solid small size android tablet. You can designate adult and child accounts, so child accounts cant do what an adult account can do, etc. Battery life is pretty great on it as well.

Bought this because of a cross country trip my family and I went on. Would highly recommend so far hasn't broken from my 15 month old using it and even if she did there is a warranty to replace it if it breaks within two years from the date of purchase so that gives me ease of mind. Comes preloaded with kid friendly apps and gives you parental control to give or restrict access to apps or whatever not much of an issue for me as my daughter is to young to use the tablet without a little help in the first place, but I do know parental controls are there. Although it is technically android it does not come with the play store if you are familiar with that, you can get the play store on it just google how. 4 out of 5 because of lack of google apps I like amazon but I like my Google as well.

I don't usually write reviews but I'm super impressed with this product I just had to share for those in question. I have 5 kids and have been through more tablets than I can count! I bought this for my 3 year old and was worried about the stability of this product as she is very rough (has a tendency to throw things, etc). This tablet is by far the best tablet I've purchased and is worth every penny!! Believe it or not the case provides considerable protection. She's thrown it, stepped on it, etc and it is still going strong. It's very kid friendly and easy to use plus it comes with a years subscription to endless kid appropriate games and videos from the Disney channel. She absolutely loves it!! Nothing negative to report. I'd buy all over again in a heartbeat!! Greatttttt product!! Well worth it!!

I did alot of research n read reviews on different tablets, this one thankfully had the most good reviews and was on sale (that was a bonus). I loved that it came with the protector on it which my son has dropped n during a tantrum has thrown & no damage to (till he stepped on & it cracked) but other than that we love it. I have my own settings on it to watch netflix or youtube, and when my son is on it i switch it to his acct which is parental control wish it would let him watch netflix thru his side but other than that he was easily able to learn how to get his games, books etc that are on it. My sister loved it and bought one for her step daughter whos 2 and she loves it as well.

I bought two of these tablets before a road trip and it was the best money spent. There are a few kinks in the offline use, but nothing too difficult. Offline, netflix downloads don't work in the kid's profiles, but they do in the parent profile. YouTube kids is not available, but my kids surprisingly haven't asked for it. Probably should have gotten the one with more space on it, but at least you can add a sd card. Overall, incredibly happy with this purchase. My son did crack the screen on the trip and so I'm grateful for the 2 year warranty. I'll update if that isn't as easy as it sounds.

Having a tablet or a phone is inevitable in our life, and there is nothing we can do about it. Moreover, I know, there are toddlers over there who can read a book in a cart while grocery shopping or just curiously looking around. However, that is not our case. My nephew is three years old, and he is a lovely boy, but he hates grocery shopping, he gets bored very quickly and the only thing that helps, is his favorite cartoons. Earlier we gave him my iPhone, but it is so easy for a toddler to drop things down, so I made a decision to buy her a tablet. The price was a trigger for us to purchase Fire HD Kids Edition.
