Awesomeness at 8 cores
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Switched from R7 3700x to this bad boy cpu, i was really hoping to get the 12 core one bur this fine. Way faster processing than 3700x and I have it running with the EVGA RTX 3070ti With an 850>PSU. I have the Corsair H100i Elite Capellix for cooling never get temps about 62°c with 64gb 3600mhz ddr4 ram I've included a couple of pictures.

Big Improvement
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Upgraded from a Ryzen 7 2700 to this Ryzen 7 5800x. I’ve noticed a huge difference in stability and power. I am a sound engineer and this has been chewing through multiple recorded tracks with countless VST tracks active. I am extremely happy with this upgrade.

A really great processor
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This processor really packs a punch! It's quite the upgrade from my old ryzen 5 1500x. This is a pretty high grade processor, make sure to do your research before purchasing. No problems with it so far, I just built my new computer a couple of days ago and it's doing a great job!

Good product easy to install
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I love it. I think it works well and it was easy to install. I don’t think I saved any money by not just getting the one that comes with the fan though.

A little expensive but well worth it
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I upgraded from my ryzen 7 3700x to the 5800x and am very happy about my decision. It is a little bit more expensive then the intel processors out there but worth it if you use your computer for work and gaming. It worked right away with no bios adjustments or updates on my asus tuf x570 board and I’ve been able to overclock it without any issues

Q: QuestionCan i replace my ryzen 7 3700x with this on a b450 mobo in my cyber power gaming pc with coolrmaster cooler and a rtx 3070 gpu with 16 GB of ram, and will i see an improvement in fps?
Asked by Edau1.
- A:Answer Is it compatible? On paper yes it is. All B450 motherboards are or will be working on Ryzen 5000s CPUs. You don't have the motherboard listed so it's hard to check if it has the BIOS update to work with the 5800x. But you won't be taking advantage of ALL the features. B450 boards do not have Gen 4 PCIE, which means the newer graphics cards that are impossible to buy right now, will work but at an optimal capacity, If you're gaming at 1440p or higher you may see a slight bump in FPS and latency will diminish. TL/DR: Yes you can swap it out if the BIOS is updated, and you will see some improvement. But is it worth over $400 to see FPS improvements of maybe 10-12 FPS at most? (AMD claims that this generation is up to 20% better than last gen (3000 series Ryzen and so far that claim is accurate but depends on title.) Hope this helps

Asked by freakdaddy.
- A:Answer Yes. It’s very much worth it. Just have a really good cooling solution ready, and good paste helps too.

Q: QuestionDid anyone have to update the bios on a B550 MB with this chip?
Asked by RJ.
- A:Answer While I don't have a B550 MB (bit the bullet for an X570 when I made the switch to AMD), I will suggest that it's always a good idea to check for updates frequently.

Q: QuestionWhat are some motherboard recommendations for this CPU in the $100-$200 range?
Asked by RadMaster.
- A:Answer Depends on your application. For the most part Asus ROG Strix B550-F, it has everything you need and then some. Notable features are Flashback making it easy to upgrade firmware and do NOT require you to have a gen 2 CPU to upgrade, as other do. The best part is it the B550-F has a lot of features that make upgrading in the future possible. This puts you at the $200 mark. If you want something a bit cheaper go with their TUF series at $150. You lose some ports and features, but you keep the quality. Somethings to look for is RBG ( if you're into that), WiFi 6, NVMe 4.0 support, headers if your case has front ports, and how well the motherboard handles heat. These are just some of the big ones. If you plan on transitioning into a small form factor, I'd go with B550-I as it has all the features the B550-F has in a smaller size. BTW, the B550-F is currently at a very good price.

Q: QuestionWHY IS THIS $400 FOR A LITTLE PART????!!!!
Asked by 400.
- A:Answer Maybe because it's an advanced piece of technology and without it you wouldn't be able to run anything in your computer at all? processors are the literal work-horse of every computer. not to mention this one in particular is pretty strong for gaming.

Q: QuestionDo you guys still not have a date when the amd 5800x will come to your store?
Asked by JanfoMango.
- A:Answer Best Buy restocks every other week on Tuesday so the next time it will restock is the 19th after that you will need to wait a week but the week after on Tuesday will be another restocking and on and on, plus the more they restock the easier it will be to get one as people get these new processors everyday so he chances of getting one is extremely high on restocking day hope this helps.
