Very Fast.
||Posted .The new iPad air is very fast, high performance, very light. To top it all off the camera is better then all other tablets. Another great thing is you can get up to 128gb that's enough storage to have a whole series of tv shows and movies.

IPad or subsequent invisishield issues
||Posted .The iPad functions properly but I have had 3 invisishields installed . Either the iPad or the invisishield are defective as I have several black shadows on the screen. Still trying to determine the origin of the visual imparment, defective iPad and screen or invisishield installation?

First Apple Product
||Posted .After many years with HP towers and Toshiba laptops, we decided to give the I Pad air a try. I still have our HP tower and 23" monitor and love it. My wife had a Toshiba laptop with a 500 GB hard drive. The battery would not last and it was a pain to always have it plugged in to use it. With other programs that she would never use and the large hard drive, we thought it was overkill for my wife. We looked for weeks and watched videos and read reviews on tablets (including the new Samsung tablets) and decided on the Air. WELL... You think that most reviews that praise Apple products are done by fanatics, I used to call them "Apple Heads". I am hear to tell you that getting my wife the I Pad Air on her Birthday was the best thing that ever happened. She LOVES it. The learning curve switching from one operating system to another after so many years was not a problem. The only issue if any, is not having a back space button when browsing and having to tap elsewhere on the screen. A very minor issue which she and I will get used to. Typing on this pad is a breeze and fast. Battery life is fantastic and the portability makes even our old laptop seem like it was a boat anchor. By far, this was the best move ever and we wondered what took us so long. We haven't upgraded from IOS 7.0 to 7.1 yet. I read that there were a few bug with apps like Facebook. I suggest not updating till the issues are resolved. Apple may be slow at fixing some items and responding to questions.... But Microsoft and HP aren't perfect either. It really is a horse a piece. We were going to get the 16GB model but read that with all of the apps that are available, that we would go with 32GB. My wife threw me a curveball and opted for the 64GB. BOTTOM LINE? I can't get it away from her and if I do, it's not for long. Absolutely love Apple and this I Pad Air. Makes me reconsider about maybe going to a MAC desktop. There is so much you can do on the Air. I believe that some other tablets may be better in some respects, but a lot of those push their ability to have it where you can display multiple screens at once and do 2 - 15 different things at once. That's a a little too much clutter on the screen for us. The simplicity and elegance of Apple products are pleasing to the eye and a dream to use. I did not drink the Kool-Aid like many profess Apple users do. But... I might be turning into an "Apple Head". LOVE THE I PAD AIR !!!!!

A premium tablet for everyone
||Posted .The iPad is, by many counts, the best overall tablet out there, and if you can afford to pay the premium for a 64GB (or above), then using the tablet will be a very joyous and issue-free experience. It certainly has been for me. The screen quality is top-notch with vibrant colors and clarity, and everything from pictures to movies to even menus look beautifully detailed. It's very responsive to touch, and does a great job with deciphering between certain types of taps. With the right apps, it can replace a lot of what a PC can do, but keep in mind that it doesn't have all of the features to be a full replacement yet, for those who are thinking about using this versus a laptop. There's no doubt you can be productive on the iPad (ex. Word documents, data sheets, etc.), but just know that you'll run into a lot of very small nuances that you can only find on a laptop. The whole tablet itself is so delicate and luxurious. The feel is so great, I had the need to really protect my investment by getting an OtterBox case along with it as well. This may not sit well with people who are not fans of tablet cases, but, for me, I wasn't ready to completely smear and keep my iPad bare, so I got a very sturdy protective case to make using this the perfect peace-of-mind tablet experience.

Keeps getting better, love my iPad Air!
||Posted .I purchased my iPad air on Nov 1st, the first day they were available at Best Buy. I went black, wifi only and 64 gigs. This is my 3rd iPad (1st generation, 3rd generation, Mini). Before buying the Air, I alternated between my 3rd generation (power, retina display beauty) and Mini (lightweight convenience). The Air gives me both and allowed me to sell the two iPads I previously owned and used. I read a lot of books and the iBook, Kindle and Nook apps are three of my most favorite apps. The lightweight Air gives me the comfort of the smaller Mini I treasured with all my reading. Size matters and in my Air I went with 64 gigs to give me the capacity I wanted to let me carry around most of my books and much of my music and photos without worry of running out of space. Also, I went with the wifi only this time because I also own an iPhone 5 with wireless capability that I can share on my iPad when I need to. Bottom line for me is the Air gives me the combination of features I loved in my two previous iPads, but delivers it in one device. I am extremely happy with my upgrade to the Air.

The worlds best tablet computer
||Posted .I've been wanting an iPad, for awhile, and the new iPad Air, is the best yet. I, previously, owned a Toshiba Thrive 10" Android Tablet. The Toshiba had lots of USB ports, which I never used, and expansion ports, to add more memory, which I never needed. It also had a very limited app store. Now, compare that to the iPad, and its like night and day. Apple has the largest, most useful app store, super fast processers, long life battery and a great screen. I wound-up buying an Camera connection kit, for the iPad. A Camera connection kit, is a USB port, that plugs into the lightning port, so I have a USB port, when I need it, and I can remove it, when I don't need it. My older tablet, was 4 times the weight of my new tablet and three times as thick. I wound-up buying the Apple Smart Cover, to protect the screen. The Smart Cover attaches with magnets, built into the iPad. When the cover is closed, the iPad goes into sleep mode, to conserve the battery. When its open, it can either lay flat, on the back of the iPad, or it can fold into a useful stand, for the iPad. The iPad Air is identical to the new iPad Mini, except its a little larger. I wanted the extra screen space, and its not that much more money, than the iPad Mini. The iPad Mini, is a nice tablet too. My Brother bought two iPad minis, this Christmas, for my nieces and they love their new tablets. Whether you're new to iOS, or a veteran, you really can't go wrong with the new iPad Air. Its an excellent tablet, and it comes with a lot of really useful free software, such as iLife and iWork. What's really cool, is I'm able to wirelessly send anything on my iPad Air, to my television, via AirPlay, because I have an Apple TV box, attached to my television. This means, that I can not only listen to music on my TV, but I can play games, surf the net, watch movies, view Photos, and do so much more. I'd highly recommend getting an Apple TV along with your iPad Air. Its a great, affordable accessory, especially if you don't already own a smart-TV and want a simple way to upgrade your television.

Lighter, faster & Thinner. Great product.
||Posted .This product gets better with each release. This one was more than an incremental upgrade (a.k.a. one to two, three to four). However, it would have been nice to include the Touch ID since it's already in play on the iPhone 5s. I'm sure that was calculated to end up in the next major release of the iPad. You would want that for the same reasons it is on the iPhone! As for the cover, that is my biggest complaint about anything related to this product. It folds in 3 sections instead of 4 and constantly comes undone when in use. The previous versions of the iPad cover used 4 sections so it folded into a triangle with one section completely matching up to another and not just "touching" another one with the edge. Pretty much sucks. Don't purchase THE COVER. Not worth the money. Go for the iPad case which appears to work better and protect it more. Overall, still great.
