Q: QuestionWill there be high frame rate Dolby Vision? If not, why not? I hear it’s only available through rumors if you stream from your phone but that makes no sense why not just make it available on the device always?
Asked by Justin.
- A:Answer So, according to 9to5mac: “Apple says the move to the A12 Bionic chip with the new Apple TV 4K enables high frame rate support for HDR and Dolby Vision at 60 fps for a more smooth and lifelike viewing experience. tvOS 14.5 supports high frame rates for AirPlay as well, so iPhone 12 Pro users can wirelessly cast 60 fps Dolby Vision videos to the new Apple TV 4K.” ...that verbiage says to me that they support high frame rate HDR & Dolby Vision for regular use as well as via AirPlay. So it should be both, not just via AirPlay. At least that’s what it seems like to me.

Q: QuestionHDR to SDR vice versa switch - All streaming devices usually have a lag (black screen for a while) on switching from one format to another. Even the previous model of Apple TV 4K has that. Does this new model has any improvement in that?
Asked by HTGuy.
- A:Answer I assume that you are referring to switching from an HDR format to SDR formatted stream. I haven't noticed any lag (black screen issues). Everything seems very responsive.

Q: Questionif i have a 6year old 55" Samsung 4k TV is this item hard to set up and use. I am 84 years old.
Asked by toothfairy.
- A:Answer The Apple TV is very easy to set up, possibly the easiest of any streaming device because Apple thrives on ease of use and making sure their products make sense. You’re 4K tv would work great with this, especially if you already have other Apple devices like an iPhone or iPad.

Q: Questionwe dont have any apple products in our home, i have a panisonic plasma tv , can apple ty do me any good , all my apps on the tv dont work any more, but there is nothing wrong with the tv awesome picture. would like to dump spectrum in my area?
Asked by jimbo.
- A:Answer Yes, the AppleTV will work for you, provided your TV has an HDMI port, (look at the back of the TV and you will be able to tell), and a WiFi connection. The Apple TV connects to your TV using an HDMI cable. The Wi Fi connection is used to stream programming, via the Apple TV, on your TV.
