Performance slow, exchanged for X555QA w/ 8GB RAM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In this day and age I can't really recommend a computer with only 4GB RAM. It's not 2007 anymore, it's 2019. Software has changed rapidly and radically. While the internal RAM of this laptop can be upgraded, the quad core X555QA-CBA12A with 8GB RAM and SSD is a far superior machine for only a little more money. This X441BA also has a slow hard drive compared to the X555QA's solid state drive (SSD), a constantly running fan, and the 14" screen leaves more to be desired. This is a decent computer for the rock bottom $200 price, but I exchanged it for the X555QA and I am much happier.

Decent laptop, if you know what to expect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, you need to know that this does NOT come with a CD/DVD drive. it's clearly stated. So if you need an onboard CD/DVD drive, look elsewhere. That said, this is a decent laptop. I switched out the 500GB HDD for a 120GB solid state drive, and that makes a ton of difference. I would recommend doing that, as it's a quick solution to a pretty terrible included HDD. Also, the build quality... It's plastic. and not very rigid plastic. But at this price point, I believe that's to be expected. The mousepad is also very noisy when clicking, which may be an issue to some. (there's always the option of using gestures or tapping the pad rather than clicking). All in all, this is a good laptop if you can catch it on sale. The AMD processor seems to be doing fairly well, and the 4gb of RAM isn't going to let you do too much multi tasking, but it's enough for light browsing and editing of word documents. Oh, and the screen. It's 1366x768. If you're not familiar with how they look, familiarize yourself. They're not great. But this one isn't the worst I've seen.

Bought 2 basic office work computers
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking for a couple of basic systems to run MS Office, internet, and email. Did not need a hi-tech gamer system. This computer met those requirements at a good price. They have been performing great since we got them. Money well spent.

Not What The Title Said
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, it's an entry level PC. No bells, no whistles, no gaming, no optical drive. All that out of the way, it says this is an A6 with and R5 integrated card, and this unit has an R4 integrated card. If that matters to you, do not buy this. Fortunately, we got this to bounce around on the web, and do some word processing and it was on sale pretty cheap so my wife just wants to keep the thing. Build quality is sub-par, but again, you get what you pay for. The plastic body does make it nice and light. Screen isn't going to win any awards but it is surprisingly nice. Speakers aren't great, but the get louder than many laptops but do not have a very full sound to them. Again for the price, the screen and sound aren't bad. If you're someone that looks at the specs, they don't even provide the correct information in the heading of the item, so be warned. I'm not usually an AMD fan, but so far this little thing chugs along pretty well, but stutters when there is a lot going on with a web site. Maybe because the graphics chip isn't the one they told me? Who knows...

Q: QuestionI absolutely will not buy anything with a 5400 rpm drive. What are the upgrade options for this?
Asked by Hendle.
- A:Answer You will need to get a Solid State Hard Drive to get a faster hard drive. There is not any other option. SSDs are much faster overall and have better dependability and performance.

Q: QuestionHas anyone tried very basic photo editing (cropping and printing)? Creating PowerPoints? What are your thoughts?
Asked by PhotoPrinting.
- A:Answer YES and it’s TERRIBLE!!! I bought it for editing fitness videos and editing photos specifically and I wasted my money completely. It’s honestly not good for ANYTHING don’t waste your money! I know it’s appealing because it’s on the cheaper side for laptops, which is why I bought it, but it ended up being a MASSIVE WASTE of money I should have just put that money towards a better laptop in the first place haha

Q: QuestionWill this laptop run RuneScape 3 on high detail mode with no lag?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer Sorry but absolutly not. It has poor integrated graphics on a incredibly slow dual core CPU. Honestly other than basic web browsing I couldn't recomend this PC for much sorry :/

Q: QuestionCan this computers RAM be upgraded? And don’t say no because you want me to buy a better laptop,
Asked by Ethan.
- A:Answer Ethan, I own the same laptop and never thought to look. Researching online ASUS says it supports up to 12GB. A video of someone doing it shows it is possible, but they had to open the case and pretty much remove every component. It appears there is no "door" on the bottom of the computer case for memory access so you have to split the case and remove the motherboard. Hopes this helps! Griff

Q: QuestionCan this laptop handle Minecraft and Roblox?
Asked by OneHundredPercent.
- A:Answer yes, you should be able to run these games, but the quality might not be as amazing, Asus has pretty good graphics but can be slow or not enough memory. (I suggest an external hard drive if you're a serious gamer)
