Pretty much useless

||Posted .This has helped so much. My house isn't huge, but it's old and has lathe and plaster. Wi-Fi doesn't travel well through it because of the wood. I got this and now I have Wi-Fi throughout my house.

Very low end and poor quality.

Consistently loses configuration with your router. Initially liked the size and portability, and design but I became very disappointed with it's performance. It is not of good quality. I cannot recommend this item for purchase.

Never worked correctly

Used for AI MESH to merge SSIN to one network.
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Giving it 5 stars, because i use the AI Mesh on this (applicable to ASUS router paired with this extender). Although it wasn't as simple as plug and play. You need to first upgrade the firmware on the extender, reset to factory defaults on the repeater.asus.com site while connected to the repeater. Then Update the firmware on your primary ASUS router, and then log into the router.asus.com while connected to your primary router SSIN, and then go to the network map --> AI MESH--> do a search and the extender should show up, select that and it will merge your extender SSIN to your current primary router network (versus having at least 2 networks: router, extender SSIN). Took me a while to figure it out, so I'd say that would be closer to 4 stars, but pretty happy once its working. A cheaper alternative over buying a separate brand new router. And don't use the mobile app, that was useless to me. Video below was helpful as reference. Once its all setup its really cool you can test to see if it working by going to router.asus.com and you can see the specific clients connected to your extender, very fun once it actually works. - A:Answer actually it won't. you stated RV park and open wifi. the answer should not be answered with yes, but maybe, Less people better quality, more people the worse quality. The adapter will give you a better signal, yes, but your issue is not signal, its wifi saturation. As users get onto the wifi, especially in a RV park/Hotel or airport, the router pushing out bandwidth will distribute the bandwidth equally until all bandwidth is gone. So at some point you will not have enough bandwidth at your device, regardless of signal strength. You can even have your PC right next to the Wifi and you will get the same amount of bandwidth. Your best bet, if wifi is critical, is to have your own paid for Wifi dongle and use it when the local Wifi gets over saturated. hope this helps to explain.
