Battery power for days. Enough Graphic and CPU umph to play Baldur's gate 3 decently (does get warm in that case). Great screen and Wifi speeds. The only negative I can say, and knew this going in, is the 16GB can feel a little tight. Also be sure you trim down the install and running AI stuff to fit your use case as the out of box on windows is pretty heavy. With medium brightnes and normal use I can go all day on a charge without issue.

Zenbook laptops are renowned for their slim, practical designs and very good battery life. The Zenbook A14 OLED continues this tradition with outstanding results. Despite rising prices and shortages of computer RAMs and SSDs, finding a quality laptop isn't difficult when it comes to Asus Zenbook laptops. There is a lot to like from this laptop, however, the laptop also has its minor drawbacks. The essential point is to grasp what the user requires and how the laptop can effectively meet those demands. The laptop features a Snapdragon X2 Elite chip with 80 TOPS NPU, 16 GB Ram with 512 GB SSD, a 2K OLED display, sub-2.18lbs weight, full Ceraluminum chassis, Asus rated battery performance of 33+ hours of continuous video playback, WIFI 7 and Windows Hello camera. In terms of port selections, it has 2 USB C Gen 4, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, one audio combo jack and a HDMI 2.1 port. The beige Ceraluminum chassis looks really nice and could spark conversation with colleagues in a professional setting. Notably, the Zenbook A14 has won the prestigious IF Design Award in 2025. What’s Great: It’s a lightweight laptop with mostly excellent performance on nearly all fronts. Despite being so light, it still feels durable and sturdy. Battery endurance is huge with this laptop. I’m typing this review with 66% battery remaining and Windows is telling me that I have about 16 hours and 34 minutes of battery life. That is quite unbelievable battery performance for a Windows laptop. Windows users have been on the defensive side when comparing their laptops to Macbooks, but not anymore. This laptop surpasses them on battery life. On raw processing power, according to Asus the Snapdragon X2 Elite chip also surpasses M5 chip. Also, the difference in terms of computing performance when being unplugged is minimal based on Cinebench R24 performance testing data provided by Asus. The laptop also has Copilot integrated features, and it allows user to on-device AI natively with 80 TOPS NPU performance. The laptop is great for working in MS Office, browsing the internet, and other business tasks. Every task feels responsive and fast. It is also very capable of handling demanding workloads, such as video editing. I mostly use the laptop unplugged and it does not have problem running the tasks I performed. Also, the laptop runs pretty quiet and cool. The 2K OLED display is excellent. The screen has good glare control, and it is bright enough even at 70% of brightness. Colors pop and the blacks are excellent. It’s a great screen to watch movies. Audio quality is comparable to that of other great laptops. The speakers get reasonably loud, with a sound profile that leans toward the treble. Not so Great: Typing is good but not that great. The keyboard tactile response feels a bit less bouncy and less satisfying, but that’s just my preference. Overall typing experience, however, is on par with every other great laptop. Although the laptop has gaming potential, not all games run smoothly on the Snapdragon chip without extra work. Running games on an Arm-based processor like the Snapdragon X2 Elite depends heavily on the specific title. AAA games such as Crimson Desert will not run on this laptop though it may be possible to run it with some more work-around. Being an ultra portable laptop has its limitations. There’s no built-in SD card slots. The RAM is not upgradeable, however, the SSD is. Final thought It’s a great laptop with only a few minor drawbacks. Its biggest strengths are battery life and processor performance, as well as excellent screen boosted with audio performance that is on par with other great laptops. It can handle nearly everything I need, though I would not use it for AAA gaming. The 512 GB capacity is upgradeable so this laptop can grow with the user. This laptop is a great workhorse for professionals or even students who can afford it.

Verdict: The ASUS Zenbook A14 OLED 2K is amazing! Wow, the color, feel, size, and weight! Everyone’s first reaction was the same: “wow!” Quality components and a beautiful screen round out this laptop to be a fantastic choice for road-warrior executives and travelers who need to pack light. I love it! First impressions. A box inside a box (see picture)! Premium packaging and unboxing. I LOVE the beige color, it pops and it’s unique. I really appreciate that the color is consistent throughout, including the keyboard and keys. I like the light purple hue to the backlit keys. I feel that the keys are a bit stiff when typing but I think it’s just habit. The laptop is feather light, thin, and small in length/width. The trackpad looks quite large because the laptop is small, but I think it works well. Performance. The specs for this new Zenbook are nice: a brilliant 2K OLED Screen, Snapdragon X2 for speed and power, onboard AI computation for faster queries, 16GB of RAM for realiable multitasking, 512GB of SSD storage for quicks start and snappy operations. 512GB of Storage is probably not enough for me, but I have cloud storage as well, so it’s fine. I generally prefer a dedicated graphics card, but the integrated card performed well for what I need to do on a machine and screen this size; I think that’s the right call. Also, such a thin laptop needs to be efficient to minimize heat. The bottom of laptop does get warm, but not hot (so far). The speakers are louder than expected and produce decent sound. Together, these components work well and fit the purpose of this laptop perfectly. Features. By far, the onboard AI capabilities is what I have been most interested in. I have seen this before on other laptops, but I am now using AI tools more than ever. In fact, I often max out my credits on some platforms, so I plan to maximize the use of onboard / offline AI to stretch my credits for online tasks. I know from a previous Zenbook that the touchpad does brightness by sliding up/down on the right, and volume by sliding up/down on the left of the touchpad. This great feature still works perfectly but it’s not obvious; I wonder how many people will miss it. Windows Hello is fast to setup, and works quite well. I like presence sensing; I think it provides the impression of the computer always being ready for you. I appreciate the hotkeys for camera off, touchpad off, volume, etc. ScreenXpert is interesting… While Windows provides some of these capabilities for screen splits, there are new options and additional capabilities worth exploring. Things I love. - Wow the color, weight, and size! - Nice specs to make a nice package - The screen looks great - It looks small and thin, but don’t be fooled: Military standard certification! - Enough port and more than I expected for such a small laptop - All day battery - Large trackpad that works well - Virtually silent computer Things I don’t love. - I feel that the keys are stiff when typing, but it's probably just me since I like clickity keyboards - I prefer webcams with physical shutters for privacy guarantee. There is a keyboard key to turn off the camera, but that is still a software shortcut Overall, this is a wonderful laptop with a high-end feel that will best support those that need portable performance or just a very nice small laptop. It looks amazing and performs well. I think that given everything included in this laptop, value is quite good. ASUS is consistently impressive every passing year... Well done! The ASUS Zenbook A14 is a stylish, capable lightweight laptop with a gorgeous OLED screen and many fine design appointments. ASUS did a lot to make this PC a joy to use, and it largely works. The key benefits of this laptop are its incredible battery life, ultra light weight, and display. Yes, it is not a touchscreen, but it looks amazing. The speakers and camera are also surprisingly good. The thoughtful touches start with the feel of the very lightly textured “Ceraluminum” coating on the back of the screen and the laptop deck, and the plastic material that makes up the bottom panel feels nearly as good. The screen opens flawlessly with one finger when the laptop is resting on a table or on your other palm, and closes just as easily. The track pad is rather huge and a joy to use, with smooth action and a satisfying click. The keyboard also feels quite spacious for a small laptop, which is of course accomplished by getting rid of extraneous keys like Home, End, PgUp and PgDn. However, the implementation of a workaround in this case is quite useful and easy to get used to, with a press on the “Fn” key and the arrows to perform those four functions, and Ctrl+Fn+Arrow to accomplish Ctrl+PgUp, etc. The laptop is extraordinarily lightweight at just 2.4 lbs and very easy to carry and use. The included power brick is also quite compact and easy to carry, and charges the laptop through either of the two left-side Thunderbolt ports in under an hour. The extended battery life is down to the ultra-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite, which performs everyday tasks with aplomb and barely requires the laptop’s two bottom fans to spin up at all to keep cool. The X2 Elite actually bests some of the top competing processors from AMD and Intel in single-thread performance, and does it all while giving you 20 hours of battery life in standard mode. And speaking of the fans, they are essentially inaudible in all but the most demanding tasks. While the 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ram is soldered to the board, the laptop has an easily replaceable NVME solid state drive and a nearly-as-easily-replaceable battery hidden behind just 10 M4 screws on the bottom. The A14 is, of course, not a gaming laptop, and the on-SOC GPU benchmarks somewhere around a GeForce GTX 1070 in standard mode and an RTX 3070 in performance mode, which is to say, 3 to 10 years behind the curve. That shouldn’t be a problem for the laptop’s intended audience, but it is something to be aware of. If you’d like a PC your kid can use to play Minecraft or Roblox when you’re not working or surfing the web, this might not make the grade. The bottom line is this: if you’re looking for a stylish Windows laptop that looks better and weighs less than a (smaller) Macbook Air and can compete with Apple on performance and battery life while coming in significantly less expensive, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

I am constantly amazed by the quality of smaller laptops like this 14-inch Zenbook. While its exterior isn’t aluminum, the performance definitely gives you a premium experience. It has an amazing OLED screen and a comfortable keyboard to type on. The speakers also provide a great listening experience. The volume level is impressive, and I found myself only needing to keep it around 14-16 for comfortable listening. The setup is standard for a Windows laptop. I walked through the setup screens and waited for close to an hour while updates were finished. This was longer than I expected, but Windows updates usually take some time, so I wasn’t overly concerned. The laptop comes with a 100W power adapter with a USB-C connector on it. When I started setting up the laptop, I noticed how nice the keyboard on it is. It doesn’t include the 10-key number pad, but the keys are nicely spaced out, and when I completed a typing test, I got a score of 86 WPM with 99% accuracy. This is much higher than my usual 73-75 WPM. After I walked through the setup and general use cases of the laptop, I moved on to some benchmarking tests. Geekbench 6 Single-Core Score: 3653 / Multi-Core Score: 18445 / OpenCL Score: 39475 Geekbench 6 shows strong overall performance across the board, with excellent single-core speed that translates to snappy everyday responsiveness. Apps open quickly, the system feels fluid during general use, and light tasks are handled effortlessly. The multi-core result also points to plenty of headroom for heavier workloads like video editing, multitasking, and creative work. The GPU compute score rounds things out by showing capable performance for acceleration-based tasks such as photo and video processing, making this a well-balanced system for productivity-focused users. Geekbench AI Single Precision Score: 1779 / Half Precision Score: 3042 / Quantized Score: 6594 Geekbench AI highlights how well the system handles modern machine learning and inference-style workloads. The scores that were returned after the tests were completed show performance is solid across different precision levels. This suggests it can comfortably support AI-assisted features in productivity apps and Windows tools. The quantized result, in particular, shows efficiency in optimized AI tasks, pointing toward good readiness for newer AI-driven workflows without relying on dedicated hardware. FurMark Benchmark Score: 2404 points FurMark pushes the GPU under extreme stress to test sustained performance and stability. The results show the system is able to maintain consistent output under heavy load, even if this type of workload is far beyond normal day-to-day use. While not reflective of real gaming performance, it does provide a useful look at thermal behavior and sustained GPU capability when the system is pushed hard for extended periods. Overall, this 14-inch Zenbook is a really well-rounded small laptop that feels great to use day to day. The OLED display looks excellent, the keyboard is comfortable, and the speakers are better than you would expect at this size. Performance is strong for everyday work and even holds up well in heavier tasks based on the benchmark results. It ends up being a solid all-around option for productivity, media, and light creative work.
