Q: Is the system memory (8GB) listed accurate? The same model number on the ASUS website lists 16GB.
A: Yes, the Asus laptop does have 8 GB RAM.
A: Color accuracy is relative. If you are seeking a machine that will exactly reproduce GREEN at exactly 5200 Angstroms you may have to invent the video processor. Replication of "visual acute color" between 3850 Angstroms and 7175 Angstroms (extreme limits) will NOT be exactly the same between any two displays or any two machines. Ambient light also slightly alters "perceived" color. ASUS UX501 machines are EXCELLENT and reliable!! The display can be operated in three different modes each of which results in perceived differences in color for a given interpretation of the three primary colors of pure yellow, pure red, and pure blue. Spectraview will change emitted wavelength a few hundred angstroms in any machine. If you are so concerned about color replication exactness to NIST standards take your machines to a licensed photometric lab and have the emission measured at each operating mode in a certified non-reflective standard ambient condition. One can and should ONLY be critical if data is presented comparing light emission wavelength based on reference to an emission standard.
Q: Does the Best Buy version of this laptop come with Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home?
A: This model unit comes installed with Windows 10 Home 64bit.
Q: What is the difference between this and the other listing for the Asus Zenbook Pro?
A: The difference between this Zenbook (SKU: 5348100) vs the $1499.99 Zenbook (SKU: 4816000) is this one has 8gb of ram (upgradable to 16gb using SKU: 5420802) and has the Nvidia 960m 4gb version while the $1499.99 Zenbook comes with 16gb of ram but only has the 2gb version of the Nvidia 960m graphics card.
Q: Am doing architecture is this laptop will be good for a me or for autocard ??
A: My son uses it for highschool level design in inventor. It has worked for everything he has had to design.
Q: differences UX501VWXS74T x UX501VW-US71T?
A: undefined
A: Good question ... It's not a misprint, the unit sold by Best Buy is a price point configuration and that was where they decided to cut a little. For about $40-50 more, they added the additional 8GB of ram. Sure it's possible to get even more power in a dedicated gaming machine but, this sure isn't bad. With the 16GB the machine is a bit of a beast. Hope this helps.
