Stylish, comfortable but poor sound quality.

After thorough research and as per my preferences, I decided to purchase this pair. I took the refurbished one as it was affordable. I really liked the design and the way it sits on your neck. The cable stays straight and does not tangle. So, if you are a commuter and need a comfortable wireless pair and are not really bothered with sound quality then this is the one. I got disappointed with the sound quality because it has a lot of bass which ruins all the rhythm and softness of a song. If you only listen to hip hop and rap stuff, this should sound great to you. But if you are a soft listener (like me), you will not like the sound quality. Moreover, beats audio should introduce an app like jaybird where you can tweak the settings and get the desired result. Unfortunately, there are no pairs in the market with such comfort and great sound quality so I have to trade off sound for comfort. I thought of returning it and get a jaybird x3 but after getting reviews, I came to a conclusion that jaybird x3 is specifically focused on active use. It does sound good (I mean really good!) but it is not as comfortable if you want to use it while traveling on a bus, train or just taking a walk. And as far as performance is concerned of a refurbished product, it is working fine up till now. Connectivity is great. Though, I am an android user but haven't experienced any problem yet. But it doesn't connect to two devices simultaneously so I have to connect it every time when I switch from my cellphone to laptop. One more thing, I really like the magnet tips so you can just stick them together and form a beats necklace when you are not using them so it remains safe and you don't have to worry about losing it. Hope this helps. Take care!

I expected them to be more base heavy, knowing Beats reputation, and I like bass, but the nicely balanced sound I am getting is fine. I like the sturdy construction. I like the neck wrap part. I like the little silicone case, it’s very cleverly designed. One thing I don’t like is that the on button is small and shallow, so it is a bit difficult to find with my fingers. It does not give a very positive click when pressed, so I am never really sure if I pressed it. Then, there is a haphazardly delayed period before the unit gives a series of tones saying it is on, or paired, whatever, so I am often finding myself repressing the on button, perhaps turning the unit off again. Seems like shoddy design, considering it is coming from Apple. Apple usually thinks through interface problems like that, I thought.

i think my title speaks for itself. i, like an idiot, lost these headphones by dropping them on the ground. i spent the money to re-purchase them immediately after. if that isn't a testimonial, i don't know what is. yes, these headphones are costly, but they're worth it. i ride public transportation every day and its very loud, very crowded, and always busy. these headphones pretty much cancel out every sound in the universe. the battery lasts a pretty good amount of time. i ride the train for 1.5 hours daily and these last for me for days on end without being charged. initially i was under the impression that these headphones really wouldn't be good; i think it was all the celebrity hype and them being expensive. but i really can't live without them now. i loooove these headphones and will continue to purchase beats!

I’m growing to like this headset. I had a pair or wired Beats earbuds that I absolutely loved but they died. I bought these to replace them and was a little disappointed but they’ve grown on me. The older earbuds fit straight in the ear canal, these new ones go straight in but the bud body angles slightly. I like the magnet backs to keep around my neck. I’m not too fond of a wire still if it’s “wireless” but it isn’t too bad. My wired earbuds had a LOT more bass than these wireless earbuds. I will say this is my primary disappointment! I listen to a wide variety of music but the tones don’t sound as complete since the bass contributions are lower. The charge holds for a long time and there is an audible alert when the battery is low. Pairs like any other Bluetooth device without issue. I’ve connected this to my 2 phones and iPads without issue.

Simply put, wow! I love these things! Excellent sound, easy to use and connect to devices and actually comfortable enough to sleep in! I don’t have money falling out my pockets but I decided to splurge on these as a nice not cheap pair and I’m so glad I did. They’re awesome for working out, waiting in the car for kids and falling asleep to audiobooks at night. While they aren’t exactly cheap they aren’t the most expensive pair out there either but honestly, I don’t think I need those. These little babies do everything I want and they’re noise cancelling too! If you’re on the fence and you’re like me and don’t fork over money unless you’re pretty sure it’s something you can use and will be worth your hard earned cash, believe me, these are totally worth every penny:)

I was very disappointed when I pressed play on my phone. The sound was so dull. There was absolutely no bass. I changed the EQ in my settings, but it didn't make a difference whatsoever. I ended up returning the headphones because of the extremely underwhelming sound. I love beats (I own PowerBeats and Beats Studios), but these just didn't live up to the quality that I'm used to. The stock EarPods that came with my iPhone sound much better than these refurbished BeatsX. Maybe I just received a dud, and that's the risk I took by ordering a refurbished pair. I wasn't able to compare the sound to another pair because there weren't any on display at the store, but I can't imagine a new pair having such bad quality.

Beats Name but disappointing Sound Quality

I normally like Bestbuy Certified Refurbished headphones, I have happily bought several and they all look and feel like new. These headphones however are a disappointment, even at the nice discounted price they weren't worth the cost, Can't imagine buying them at full retail!. The Sound Quality just isn't very good, they are frankly a disappointment, they sound muffled and tinny the bass? what bass? The sound quality compares to $20 dollar headphones in my opinion. While they fit nicely in my ears, the band leaves much to be desired, they are bulky and featureless. W1 chip might be useful for iPhone users, I'm an android user, so the W1 chip provides 0 benefit to me. Buy it if you want nice looks, and a brand name but only mediocre sound quality...

I bought this instead of Airpods because it has the inline controls and people said they sounded better. I'm surprised by how much I really like them. The whole neck cord thing was weird at first, but everything is so light you don't even notice it. The swappable eartips were helpful because the pair that were installed just didn't sound that great, but when I switched to the tighter ones everything sounded amazing. The wires going from your neck to your ears could have been shorter for sure and is the only con about these, but you get used to it. The battery lasts quite a while (the quick charge feature is great), the fit is right and having the controls (even Siri) available make these the best pair of in-ear headphones I've ever bought.
