    Synopsis

    Beethoven
Feeling that something is lacking in their lives, the family of suburbanite Charles Grodin adopts a stray St. Bernard puppy. The cute lite beast grows up to be the less-than-cute Beethoven, a sloppy, slobbery, oversized and extremely destructive animal. Beethoven also brings with him a lot of hidden baggage in the form of evil veterinarian Dean Jones, who'll stop at nothing to steal Beethoven for the purposes of his insidious lab experiment. Several sequels followed, beginning with 1993 Beethoven's Second. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

    Beethoven's 3rd
Beethoven the Saint Bernard is back in this comedy for the whole family, in which the Newton Family (with their rather large pet in tow) hops into their camper for a cross-country vacation. Along the way, they encounter a gang of bad guys. Can Beethoven help bring them to justice? Beethoven's 3rd stars Judge Reinhold, Julia Sweeney, Jamie Marsh, and Michaela Gallo. Charles Grodin, star of the first two films, opted not to appear in this one. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

    Beethoven's 2nd
The gargantuan St. Bernard finds love in this sequel to the box-office hit. Beethoven happens to meet Missy, another St. Bernard, in the park and the two find they share a certain chemistry. Unfortunately, Missy is being held captive by Regina (Debi Mazar), a spiteful ex-wife attempting to leverage ransom money from her wimpy former husband. Fortunately for the dogs, their visit was long enough for the stork to come calling (no one ever accused Beethoven of having slow paws), and soon Missy berths a litter of adorable pups. Regina decides at first to drown the pups (an apparent attempt by the screenwriters to justify whatever horrible fate befalls her later) but reconsiders when she learns of their monetary value. However, the Newton children (Christopher Castile and Sara Rose Karr) manage to rescue them, and the entire family heads off for a Montana resort, Beethoven and pups in tow. Somehow, Regina and her sleazy boyfriend (Christopher Penn) end up at the resort as well, setting the stage for the final showdown. Less appealing than the original, Beethoven's 2nd is still an innocuous hour and a half of fun for younger kids and hardcore dog lovers. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi

I remember loving this series as a kid. Fast forward to almost 20 years later and I picked up this trilogy on a whim for my kids. We were on a road trip and were fresh out of new movies to watch in the van. I popped this in hoping to rekindle the nostalgia and love I had for it as a child. My kids lasted about 10 minutes in. I guess this one I will be watching alone in the dark while the kids have gone to bed one night. You can't beat the price per movie if you want to take a trip down memory lane.

We bought this movie to watch during FAMILY TIME, and it was a great purchase!!! It has 1, 2, and 3 so therefore 1 night you can watch 1 and then another night you can watch 2, and the excitement builds up while you are waiting to watch the next one, as long as you are not a binge watcher and try to watch it all in one day. Great movie, great price!!! Family Clean!

I bought the Beethoven franchise film to watch with my two pet dogs. They were named after the dogs in this film, and my nephew also enjoys watching them because he thinks it's my dogs in the movie. He gets all happy when he sees the Saint Bernard's on the television.

Great movie but only contained 2 discs. One labeled Beethoven 2nd and the other Beethoven 3. Nothing labeled Beethoven. Ended up being on the Beethoven 2nd disc. Was about to return thinking it was missing a disc glad we checked 1st.

My wife and I were both kids of the 90s so we had to pick up this collection when we started our family. We didn't know there was a 3rd so we were super excited to watch it. The movies are full of cute and funny moments!

This movie is a great film! I love that it is the Beethoven film franchise, so I can always relive my childhood while watching them. I named both my dogs after the dogs in the film. My nephew even loves the movie as well.
