Q: I realize this coffee maker has a permanent filter but I usually like to use a disposable filter as well. Is the filter basket a cone or basket filter?

Q: Trying to program this, is a nightmare. Instructions are ridiculous. Can someone tell me, step by step please. Ive tried 6 different ways.. I will be returning this if I can’t program it.

A: Hey CeeCee, it just takes practice. First things first, make sure your clock is set to your correct time. You can set the clock by pressing PROG until "clock" is displayed on the screen, press the HOUR and MIN buttons to achieve the right time (be careful to make sure you AM/PM is right!) Once your clock is set, press PROG until you get the word "timer" on the screen, in this window you adjust the HOUR and MIN buttons again, but this time you are setting the time you want the coffee pot to turn on and begin brewing -- again, make sure your AM/PM is what you want. Once finished, you can press the PROG button again until the words disappear, or you can wait and the screen will return to the current time (this is true of all PROG windows, if you take too long, it may go back to the main clock screen and you have to press PROG to get back where you were). Once your timer is set, make sure your machine is loaded with grounds and water, then press on/off twice. The first press turns on the machine as if you want to brew that moment (indicated by the red light under ON turning on), pressing ON/OFF again will activate AUTO, which is accompanied by a green light. Once your AUTO is on, you're pot will turn on at the time you indicated and you'll have coffee! Practice these steps a few times and you'll be a pro.

Q: How long is the power cord, and is the plug two-pronged?

A: No, its very short. Maybe 1 foot. I need an extension cord. It's made to sit on a counter right in front of an outlet.

Q: Does it have a warming plate? Can it make small batches?

A: Yes it has a warming plate. You can make up to 12 cups. It would depend on how much water you put in. Keep in mind coffee maker turns off in 2 hours after brewing.

Q: How to clean

A: Hello, thanks for reaching out. CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Always make sure Coffee Maker is unplugged and the warming plate is cool before attempting to clean. 2. After daily use, open the lid and remove the coffee filter from the removable filter holder. 3. Pull filter holder out of the Coffee Maker and wash in hot, sudsy water. The removable filter holder is top rack dishwasher safe. 4. Wash the glass carafe in warm, sudsy water. If necessary, remove the carafe lid at the hinge. Then scrub the inside of the carafe lid with a soaped kitchen brush. Rinse well. Replace lid after cleaning. WARNING: To avoid breakage, handle carafe with care. Avoid impact. Glass will break as a result of impact. Use care when filling with water to avoid hitting faucet. 5. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove superficial stains. For stubborn stains, use a nylon or plastic pad with a non-abrasive cleanser. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers. 6. Dry and replace disassembled parts. 7. Close the lid. Figure 3 Figure 4 10 DESCALING Special cleaning of your Coffee Maker is recommended at least once a month, depending on frequency of use and quality of water used in the unit. If water in your area is especially hard, the following cleaning procedure should be performed every 2 weeks, since minerals in water can detract from the flavor of the coffee and possibly lengthen brew time. 1. Fill carafe with 1 part white vinegar to three parts cold water. Pour water and vinegar solution into the water reservoir. 2. During cleaning, more steam will occur than during normal brewing. 3. BREW THE VINEGAR SOLUTION UNTIL CARAFE IS HALF FULL. Press the ON/OFF button to turn Coffee Maker OFF. When liquid stops dripping from the removable filter holder into the carafe, remove the carafe and allow liquid to cool for 10 minutes. When cooled, lift Coffee Maker lid and pour liquid back into the water reservoir. 4. Close the lid. Return carafe to the warming plate. 5. BREW THE VINEGAR SOLUTION again, allowing all the cleaning solution to empty into the carafe. After dripping has stopped, empty contents of the carafe. 6. Allow Coffee Maker to cool for 10 minutes, rinse by brewing a carafe full of cold water. 7. At end of brew cycle, press the ON/OFF button twice. Empty water in the carafe. Wash carafe and removable filter holder in hot sudsy water. Dry parts thoroughly. 8. When Coffee Maker has cooled, wipe exterior with a dry cloth. Hope this helps. Have a great day. The BELLA Team.

Q: If coffeemaker is plugged in and not turned on, should the red light on the left (PM) be on. Or, during AM should the green light be on? We don’t want to unplug it every time we use it.

A: Yes. Just tells you Am or Pm part of the clock feature

Q: Is there an instant-on feature on the timer so I can start the coffeemaker when I want rather than use the timer and can you override the auto shut off or can it be restarted simply? We need a three hour warmer?

A: Yes, you can just turn it on to brew right away, that would be hit the power button on once. I dont know if you can override it. But you can simply restart it.

Q: Can the carafe go in the dishwasher?

A: Yes, but only on the top shelf only.
