Q: The water pump doesn't work. Tried ad dozen times already. Any advice?
A: To get the pump to "prime", you have to fill the tank with water, then raise and lower the tank into the base several times, like 20 to 40 times. Each time you seat the water tank into the base, a few air bubbles come up, which means water is going into the pump. You have to forcefully seat the tank down to make bubbles form. Then when no more air bubbles come up, press the double shot cup to pump water into it. It took me 15 minutes to get it running, because the water pump won't work right if there is not enough water in the bottom of the machine. Eventually it works perfectly, and makes GREAT espresso! I use pods and ground espresso, both work fantastic!
Q: Is this machine suppose to be so loud? Is that normal or was I delivered a defective machine
A: Mine is pretty loud but I don’t find it any more offensive than the nespresso machine I also have.
A: The instructions are not good. I thought it would blink when ready to brew but it doesn't. I had the issue where it would pump twice for a few seconds each and do nothing. I just had to do the "remove and re-insert reservoir" step, but I had to do it like literally 100 times before it would work. But just keep doing it and eventually you'll get enough water in the system to brew. Took my 90 minutes of troubleshooting to get to work but now its good. For $60 I can't complain too much.
Q: Can you use ESE pods as well?
A: No! This machine has two adapters. One for the original nespresso capsule pods or you can use grounds and a tamper. It won’t accept the new virtuoline (big spinning) capsules so don’t try that otherwise you’re wasting your money. Use ONLY the original nespresso capsules and you’ll be happy.
A: You need to prime the pump. See other questions for how to properly do that. It does take a bit of effort to get enough water in the pump the first time you use it.
Q: Can I use k pods with the Bella pro series expresso machine? What about regular coffee grounds?
A: No KCups, only the taller nespresso pods (not the circle ones). There’s a “ground” coffee filter but I believe it’s intended to be used with espresso beans because the quantity of water would not be sufficient for a cup of Joe.
A: I had same issue during first setup (no water in system) on 2 different machines. It seems that air bubbles get trapped in the internal lines. I installed/removed/reinstalled full tank several times to feed water into machine. I tried their directions several times then removed the tank, picked machine up rotated machine gently on 3 axis to allow trapped bubbles to get out of the way.
Q: How tall of a cup will fit under this?
A: undefined
