Q: when will this be on sale

A: I saw it's just available now! 1/26/2018 11:34am PST....

Q: It says that it is a 3d projector, does it use active or passive glasses? Also, I know that 4k does not do 3d, but does this projector upscale 3d movies to 4k?

A: This unit uses active 3d. I am uncertain if there is true upscale provided by the projector. The 3d blu ray unit that I use has the 4k upscale.

Q: Do you still sell the BenQ - CineHome HT2550 4K DLP Projector with High Dynamic Range - Black/White? I want to purchase one but its says online that it's sold out and been monthsThat I keep checking.

A: I am not an official rep but It should be back for sale very soon. There was a bug in all of the originally shipped units where the 3D feature did not work properly. They have just released the fix on or about the 8th of March. So they will not be shipping new bugfixed units to all retailers. It is possible that another fix makes the fan more quiet as well. Keep checking! I have an original buggy unit and Benq has a free to the user swap out program where they will send you a fixed unit in the mail, then you package up the old one and ship back.

Q: When will this become available for sale ?

A: Looks like it's available now! 2/1/2018 9:33AM PST.
