EXPLORE BEST BUY FOR EDUCATION
We open the door to opportunity with technology training and tools that transform under-served teens from consumers to creators – a new generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, designers and dreamers.
For half a century, Best Buy and Best Buy Education has been a catalyst for the rise of technology as a means to improve virtually every aspect of our lives. We are committed to giving under-served youth hands-on access to the tech education and tools they need to be successful in school and in their future careers. Through our vast pool of talented employees and network of stores, we are in a unique position to bridge the digital divide – when and where under-served young people need us most.
Geek Squad Academy
The Geek Squad Academy program is about showing the youth of today the wonders and opportunities that technology holds-both for their lives today and for their future careers. Students become "Junior Agents" and get hands-on experience with some of the newest and coolest technology.
Best Buy Nonprofit Partnerships
We provide funding to strategic national nonprofit partners that help us further our goal of providing teens with the benefits of technology.
Common Sense Media
Common Sense Media is dedicated to improving the lives of kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in a world of media and technology. Best Buy is proud to support the development of curricula that guide children to make smart, safe decisions and to live respectful digital lives.
MOUSE creates technology-based opportunities that motivate under-served students to succeed in today's information society. The MOUSE Squad program trains students to serve as in-school technical support help desks. Students get a variety of hands-on opportunities to learn technology management for middle and high schools. In the end, they have real skills to offer in the job market.
Computer Clubhouse Network
Computer Clubhouse Network has partnered with Best Buy to develop Best Buy Teen Tech Centers-creative, safe out-of-school learning environments where teens can work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.
Best Buy Teen Tech Centers
These interactive learning spaces help teens explore technology to discover new interests, collaborate with one another and prepare for the future.
We provide sponsorship funding in the Twin Cities and with national nonprofit partners who align with the company’s charitable giving priorities.
