I bought this CD specifically for the single that we all have heard at some point, "Under The Bridge" and "Give It Away." However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was overall a very good CD. I would highly recommend this to your collection, especially to preserve the original recordings, as I am sure this will be remastered at some point and will be ruined by modern dynamic compression.

BSSM is by far the Chili Pepper's greatest album to date. It shows them in their prime in the early 1990's when they are just about to make it bigger than life. THe way each song has it's own unique and amazing sound is just down right impresive. I love this CD and think that any one who love the Red Hot CHili Pepers should go out andbuy it right now.

This album is very diffrent and very wierd but it's my favorite album becuase of that. This album has evrything from sad beautiful "under the bridge" and "Breaking the girl" to crazy "Suck my kiss" and "They're red hot" but every song is pure greatness. Any one who likes music or has good taste should buy this album no matter what!

This is a turning point in their career, moving from more funk/rap, into rock/funk/rap. Much of the "funk" sound starts to disappear after this album, but this one in particular highlights all the special, unique attributes of the band. Must have for any RHCP.

Decided to relive a little of my youth with some Red Hot Chili Peppers from my High School days. I forgot how good this album is. Some of the songs are even better today than 25 years ago! Perfect roll down the windows and crank the volume music. Must have!!

A different sounding album than Mother's Milk, the album they released before it. However, a very strong group of songs, many of which I had heard on the radio throughout the years. I enjoyed the songs and I am glad to add this to my collection of Chili Peppers albums.

...Is now a classic rock album. Upside: still inventive and fresh, by today's standards, downside: So successful it has been overplayed! Deep cuts now need to be investigated...

Blood sugar sx magic is the RHCP best album by far. Under the bridge was the hit from this album. Kind of a downer song though. The rest of the record is the Peppers at their best-sxy,funky raw and real rock and roll.
