Amazing microphone for a unbelievable price

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, Ease of use, PriceFirst hearing about the Nano I was completely unsure but willing to give it a shot since my Blue Snowball has lasted me many years. Right out of the box this thing is ready to go and feels incredibly sturdy in the hand + the stand design is pretty neat. This comes with some features I’d like to point out, the ring in the middle of the mic is not only a volume slider (twisting it left or right) but also used as a MUTE or UNMUTE button by a really easy press. On the back is a flat button that you only really have to touch to change between omnidirectional (just you) and multidirectional (you + however many other voices) audio input. The whole mic itself can be positioned to be either tilted forward so much that it’s literally upside down or just keep it straight up! Pros: Compact Great input for single person use Great input for multi person use Simple cable management Sleek design Cons: Cable disconnects occasionally through simple movement My honest rating on this microphone is a solid 9/10 only reason I could not give it a 10 is because the cable coming loose sometimes can be real inconvenient when playing certain games.

Not worth it if you are in a loud house.

Quality1 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5When I first ordered this, I thought I was getting an actual mic. I was very excited and when I picked it up, it was decent. There was a buzzing noise when I tested it on OBS which really bugged me. I tried some settings to stop that buzz effect but it was still there no matter what I did. This mic can't even handle an AC that is 8 feet away from me. This mic is only good for quiet rooms. If you share a room with another person which you probably don't, then don't buy this. picks up the smallest vibrations from your keyboard and ruins the whole audio. I am going to test out the Blue Yeti USB Condenser microphone (the bigger and $30 more expensive than this one) and cross my fingers that it won't pick up vibrations as bad as this one. I don't have my hopes high though. If I were you, I would not buy this.

Posted .Hello Joshua, we are so sorry to hear that the Yeti Nano did not meet your expectations. We recommend having the Yeti Nano in Cardiod mode. Cardioid mode records sound sources that are directly in front of the microphone, delivering rich, full-bodied sound. Second, we also recommend downloading free Sherpa software. Sherpa helps you get the most out of this powerful computer microphone. Mute and unmute your mic and headphones, fine-tune gain and levels, switch polar patterns, and change sample rates. Sherpa will also download firmware updates directly to your Yeti Nano, seamlessly keeping you up to date. Have a great rest of your day. -Ricky from Logitech

Excellent quality and performance

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Price, Set upThe microphone is just the best choice for this price. The quality of sound is very high and clear and it gets setup immediately after connecting the usb cable. Build quality on the actual mic is super high, the body is metal made and it does NOT feel cheap at all. If you want to get the best out of this mic, buy a shock mount and an arm mount for it. I definitely recommend this .

Q: QuestionThere's a $99 Blue Yeti and a $129 blue yeti. What is the difference? I do radio interviews using my Mac, which has an old OS, Yosemite.
Asked by Richard.
- A:Answer Hello Richard, the $99 model is the Yeti Nano, while the $129 model is the original Yeti. There are a few differences between the two models. The biggest difference is that the Yeti is a 3 capsule design that can go between 4 different polar patterns: Cardioid (in front of the mic), Bi-Directional (front and back), Omnidirectional (all around), Stereo (Left/Right). The Yeti Nano has 2 capsules and can switch between Cardioid and Omnidirectional polar patterns. For interviews, you would use the Omnidirectional pattern on the Nano and Omnidirectional or Bi-Directional patterns on the Yeti.

Q: QuestionIs there a way for me to use this to record my voice and minimize those of my loud keyboard?
Asked by jeff.
- A:Answer There are two things that could help. First is making sure your microphone is on the cardiod mode. While this mode is enabled, make sure to position your microphone with the volume knob facing your mouth. Your voice will sound the clearest this way BUT also ignoring any sounds directly behind your microphone. So the best position for the microphone will be in-between you and your keyboard. Secondly, buying a microphone arm holder will be great to minimize noise. What this allows you to do is position your microphone very close to your mouth, 1-5 inches away. This will let you turn down your microphone’s sensitivity (otherwise known as gain) which will pickup less noise around the blue yeti nano, such as your keyboard. I hope this helps.

Q: QuestionDoes this mic come with a USB cord and adapter?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. It's a USB-A to Micro-USB cable, 2 meters in length. The Micro-USB end is for the mic, while the USB-A end is for the computer or other device you're connecting to.
