Happy with it
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.My first Bosch. Very happy with it. Cleans great. Have been very careful to pre-rinse. I hear that is a key from friends with Bosch dishwashers. It’s a little louder than I’d like. The first one we tried to get installed was dead on arrival, but the second one is a champ.

Bad design (side trim strips)
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Love this dishwasher, however the side trim strips look horrible. My cabinet drawers will not close properly. Really bad design of the strips.

I nice addition
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Very nice unit. Sadly had to sacrifice a cupboard to install it but I don’t have to wash dishes in the sink much anymore just the ones that can’t go in the dishwasher. Really wish this unit had heated dry option. But will make do without it.  I want to see the loudest part of the machine is when it sprays water the whole operation can’t hear it

Value w stainless steel tub from Bosch at Best Buy
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.We were looking for a good value with a stainless steel tub. This Bosch had great reviews but was more costly. We bought another brand at Home Depot then noticed Best Buy put this one on sale and it was available. Quickly got a refund at HD and bought it online. It is very quiet and cleans well. Best Buy installers were fast and well worth the cost. Removed our old unit installed the new one in 30 min. Love the look and holds a lot of dishes.

can't go wrong with a Bosch
Posted .We bought this Bosch to replace our 20 yr old Bosch that was cleaning magnificently but was leaking. The new one is much quieter, delay wash is a nice option, cleans just as well as the old model, the new rack design is much better than the old one... So far so good and I'm loving my clean dishes. Only think that I don't like about it is, that the entire tub is stainless steel but the bottom.

Perfect Dishwasher
Posted .You open the door to sparkling clean, dry dishes, and the Bosch is so quiet about it! I love that I can put plastic items in the bottom rack. In fact, I recommend it. Bosch has the best racks for fitting everything in so it stays safe, gets clean, and drains dry. I love the long knife tray. I have washed stemware, a heavy Cuisinart pot, plastic lunch containers, and dinner dishes all at the same time with great results. I always push "on", "auto", "start"; it couldn't be easier. I also love that a light will let me know when I need to refill my rinse aid, and that you can set it to release less rinse aid if you want to. The key to dry dishes is simple, use a rinse aid and unload the bottom rack first. I enjoy the clean simple profile of the Bosch in my small galley kitchen.

- A:Answer The answer from the Bosch representative is incorrect. Both models have a sanitize operation. This model (the newer 100 series) has a Rinse cycle, whereas the older model Ascenta series (misidentified on the Best Buy website as 100 series) has a Half Load cycle. Also, this model has a small Utility Rack above the upper rack for longer items, like kitchen knives, whisks, spatulas, etc.

Q: QuestionIf I don't leave the dishwasher door propped open after each use, it has a terrible odor. I tried the white vinegar suggestion from the manual. It helped, but the odor came back. The unit is brand new. The filter screen is clean. What do I do?

Q: QuestionI have a Bosch 100 series for about 2 to 3 weeks. Since I've been using the dishwasher the inside door and my dishes all have been wet. I have a rinse aid in it but it seems they should not be as wet as it is. Do I need to have looked at? Warranty?

- A:Answer Hi Beckarena. Thank you for your question. The 100 Series Dishwasher is a completely sealed system with no vents or fans. It has Condensation Drying. The final rinse uses high-temperature water to make the dishes very hot. The stainless steel tub of the dishwasher cools faster than your dishes because stainless steel cools faster than glass and porcelain. Condensation occurs when the moist air in the dishwasher comes into contact with the cooler stainless steel tub, and turns into water droplets. These water droplets trickle down to the bottom of the dishwashers and are drained. Since it’s a closed system with no fan, the cleaning process is more sanitary. With no exposed heating element, plastic utensils and dishes places on the lower rack will not melt. The use of rinse agents, such as Jet Dry®, aids the condensation drying process by reducing the surface tension of water. This in turn allows the water on your dishware surfaces to run off more freely, so they dry better.

- A:Answer No, this model does not have a food disposal feature. It has a filter that you will need to empty occasionally. Quieter dishwashers have moved away from food disposals as they were noisy.

- A:Answer Hi there. Thank you for your question. All Bosch dishwashers dry through condensation drying, which takes place after the final rinse. If you prefer for the dishwasher not to dry, you could not utilize the sanitize option, which raises the last rinse temperature to 162 degrees and not use rinse aid, both of which enhance the drying process.
