1" Carbon Dome Tweeter
Pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail resulting from a Carbon Coating on our aluminum Double Dome Tweeter. The closest performance to our Diamond Dome Tweeters.
Solid Body Tweeter
Milled from a solid block of aluminum, the solid body tweeter housing design creates an acoustically optimized housing for the tweeter – one that’s exceptionally inert and resistant to resonances. You'll enjoy smooth and clear highs.
6" Continuum Midrange
Continnum is a woven material that blends control with flexibility. The result is breathtaking clarity right where you need it most- the midrange. Hear voices, guitars and other instruments in a whole new way.
Aerofoil Bass Drivers
Bass drivers need to be light, stiff and not ring like a bell. Aerofoil features incredibly light materials molded into a shape resembling an airplane wing for optimal rigidity and damping. Instead of hearing one-note bass, you'll hear colors and textures with power and control
Driver Decoupling
Decoupling places a shock-absorber between the cabinet and drivers to short circuit detail smearing distortion. The result is greater clarity and pinpoint imaging by reducing distortions that soften and blur what you hear.
3- Way Design
Drivers are optimized for their specialized roles in reproducing high frequencies, mid frequencies and low frequencies. This results in better performance for all sounds.
Flowport
Reduces air turbulence for clearer bass by dimpling the flared port.
Magnetic grille
Remains acoustically transparent while protecting the speaker's components.

Absolutely Stunning
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. After only owning these for 24 hours I've decided to dump my girlfriend of 5 years as these are the only things I need anymore in my life. The sound reproduction is off the charts. Bowers and Wilkins really put a lot of effort into the tweeter design as the high's really shine. The Continuum driver is a massive upgrade over the CM series Kevlar driver. Can't tell you how much of a difference they sound in the home than at the store.

B and w towers
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Very good sounding speakers. I read every review on the internet and the universal high praise for these speakers is deserved. Sat in display room at Best Buy with eyes closed listening to these and other b and w tower (and bookshelf) speakers and although they all sounded very good, these speakers when powered properly sounded great. Be advised these speakers want high power (I bought an amp to help the receiver), but you will be rewarded with great sound. The highs are delightful. The bass is strong. If you can get these speakers you will be smiling with audio pleasure.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. These are absolutely fantastic towers but they require a good amplifier to really drive them to their full potential. The separated tweeters provide rich highs, the midrange stands apart from a lot of other speakers, and paired with a Rel High-Level connection, they’re nearly unstoppable in their price class. As with any good speaker, a good amplifier really opens up a new world of sound to them. I’ve heard them through a McIntosh MA252 vs. a good AVR and it really makes a difference.

OMG you’ll love these speakers!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. All I can say is WOW!!!! Paired with ArcamSA30 will blow your mind. The sound stage is large. They fill the space with near perfect sounds. Definitely worth the investment. My wife says it’s like being front row center at her favorite band!!!

Incredibly clear sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I first heard these speakers in the Magnolia section of Best Buy and couldn’t believe the clarity. Until I looked at the price. Not cheap but I was looking for the best sound I could afford and these were a once I a lifetime splurge. I worried about how’d they sound outside of the studio in a house with high ceilings. I needn’t have worried. Once I got them set up and put played music from my phone I was even more impressed. I didn’t care for the white or gloss black when i found they also cane in a rose wood, that’s what I ordered and they are gorgeous! To say I’m happy with them is an understatement. Each time I listen I’m amazed at how distinct each instrument sounds.

Speakers sound good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. These speakers sound good. Got the gloss black so smudges easily occur - but that's okay and no surprise. Got a well used, open box pair and the condition is pretty good.

Q: QuestionI am putting together my wish list. These speakers sounded unbelievably amazing at Best Buy. Which amp would do these speakers justice and what other accessories are required to get that beautiful sound? Thank you for your time.

- A:Answer Any receiver in Magnolia would be fine but here's the thing: you heard the speakers and loved them so the receiver that was being used to drive them is the one to get. I listened to these speakers with several different receivers at Magnolia. Their switching allows for comparison. Each receiver imparts its own "color" on the sound, i.e., the way it processes the sound through its electronics. I preferred the Yamaha A880. I personally did not like the subdued Denon sound or Marantz, but you might. What I do is listen with the various receivers until the sound I like is found. Isn't that how you chose the speakers? Same principle. I find Best Buy salespeople to be very patient and they actually enjoy doing the comparison. Anything 80W and above is fine and can be had for decent money. Wattage doesn't matter unless you're in a concert hall and need to blare it. For in home use 80W is fine. Speaker wire: stick with 16ga 100% copper. For runs more than 25' or so, use 14ga. You need nothing else. Enjoy.

Q: QuestionIf I put my ear to the tweeter on top should I be hearing sound coming directly from there? Will I be hearing sound coming from both midranges or is the design to hear the midrange from right speaker only bass woofers on the left?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Bowers & Wilkins - 700 Series 3-way Floorstanding Speaker w/ Tweeter on top, w/6" midrange, three 6.5" bass drivers (each) - Gloss black
- A:Answer In stereo, you should here everything. It’s a 3-way speaker. So tweet, mid, and bass drivers all get the signal. You may have the polarity backwards if you don’t hear all.

Q: QuestionIve been shopping BW and own a complete set of polished black 9's with center and surround speakers. I've been visiting Best Buy recently to upgrade my when I noticed a substantial price increase. No upgrade, Just a 20% increase. Unaffordable now. Why?
Asked by ams1980.
This question was asked about the related product: Bowers & Wilkins - 700 Series 3-way Floorstanding Speaker w/ Tweeter on top, w/6" midrange, three 6.5" bass drivers (each) - Gloss black
- A:Answer The simple answer is tarrifs. We built a new factory (near where your CM9's were built) that is not easily moved and the increased tariffs are responsible for the price increases that you are seeing.
