A Compact Powerhouse for Creators
The Canon EOS R8 is a versatile and highly capable camera that punches well above its weight. It’s perfect for photographers and videographers who value image quality, advanced features, and portability. Whether you’re upgrading from an older DSLR or looking to dive into full-frame mirrorless photography, the R8 delivers exceptional value. Despite its small size, the grip is comfortable and well-designed, making it easy to handle even large RF lenses. Its compact body fits snugly into small bags, which is convenient for traveling and packing light. This camera lacks in-body image stabilization, but its lightweight design and lens-based stabilization compensate for this. The single SD card slot may be a downside for some, but it’s a reasonable trade-off for the price. Highly recommended for creators of all levels!

crazy focus!
Beast! took me a while to think about getting this. Battery sucks, and overheating sometimes but i am used to it. For the battery issue, i just got extra ones and a battery pack. (havent used the battery pack i specifically got for this.) took a bit of time to get used to the focus. no IBIS. i upgraded from from canon m50 mkii.

Great image quality at cost of battery life
Image quality at this price point is pretty good, 24mp full frame is sweet. However, that price savings definitely shows within battery life and the live view finder. You can always buy more batteries, but the view finder can be a little “laggy” when photographing fast moving objects. If those are deal breakers, move to the r6!
