Q: Does it work for 42 mm watch?
A: It would "fit" but not firmly. I wouldn't recommend it. Plus the edging would not align and would look strange.

Q: Does this band work with the Apple Watch 2?
A: Yes, I have the Series 1, but a friend has the Series 2 and I loaned her my band, it fit fine and there were no issues.
Q: Will the silver band look good with the rose gold watch?
A: After seeing it in person myself, I would say no it would not look good with rose gold. The silver is very silver and a cool tone. The rose gold watch is more of a warm tone color. They just don't go.
