- Before we begin: To prepare for installation, make sure someone 18 or older is present at the appointment time.
- Disconnect the existing cooktop: We'll start by unplugging the unit from the electrical outlet and disconnecting the gas. An existing, dedicated, functional, non-corroded and code-compliant shutoff valve is required.
- Connect the new cooktop: We'll use the new gas line connection kit to connect the unit to gas. Then, we'll connect the cooktop to an existing electrical outlet and fasten it to the countertop.
- Final steps: We'll level and test the appliance for functionality, clean up our workspace, answer any questions you may have, and let you know how to contact us for future support.
- Purchase haul-away services for an additional fee: When you buy a qualifying cooktop from Best Buy, we’ll haul away and recycle or relocate your old one for you. (Not included)
