Pros

Cons

  • The only reason I didn't rate a 5 star is because when just cooking at home on your kitchen counter, the locking and sealing lid is a bit hard to just set on the pot.TexGrandpa

This is a great size. I have a family of 3 and this cooks more than enough for us. I was specifically looking for a slow cooker that wouldnt take alot of counter space but would be able to cook plenty of food. This was spot on. Love the feature of the air tight clasps, perfect for being able to take it to a potluck, etc. The only con i found with this product is that it has only 3 pegs/legs (2 in the front, 1 in the back) rather than 4. As a consumer I would personally prefer that it has 4 (2 in the back, 2 in the front) just to ensure added stability. Other than that 1 thing, I definitely would recommend.

I bought this as a gift for a novice cook, but I had purchased the same model Slow Cooker last year for myself, and gotten lots of use out of it. Because it's a basic model at a low price, I feel comfortable taking it to potlucks and office functions without worrying about someone breaking a big investment piece. It cooks food well, transports well, and keeps food warm until it's all eaten up!

Got this product when it is on sale. My mom-in-law loves it. She uses it 2 or 4 times a week. Put the materials the night before then next day morning we have a well cooked stew (rice, beans, and dates) ready for breakfast. It took us couple times to figure out the right cooking time on each level of heat. But after then, it works perfect and the sealing lid works great too. Money well spent.

This is a great product. It does what any crockpot ought to do and adds the sealing and locking lid for traveling with your slow cooked specialty to the church social, family reunio, or pot luck event. The only reason I didn’t rate a 5 star is because when just cooking at home on your kitchen counter, the locking and sealing lid is a bit hard to just set on the pot.

Never having owned a crock pot before, I cannot say whether this one excels or simply sets the norm, but I have used it twice and I am happy with the results. I got it with a combination of a BestBuy reward rebate check from using my BestBuy Credit card and a sale price, making my “purchase price” just a few dollars — so, it was definitely worth the cost for me. I am happy with my purchase.

Found it a little inconvenient for just home cooking due to the fact there are no handles to pick the insert up out of the cooker part and you can’t put in fridge with the lid because the lid doesn’t fit snug. But good for Carry-ins since you can lock it and keep spills from happening

Lid is finicky to just set it on at home but if you are taking your goodies to church or a social function the lid locks on and seals to not spill on the vehicle on the way. Otherwise it is a crockpot that works as it should.

This was featured in the deal of the day. I thought 5 quarts was not much smaller than my old 6 quart model. It was, had to return it. Too bad , it had a nice color and clip to hold the lid in place when traveling.
