Lightning Fast Beast of a M.2 NVME SSD

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off let me preface by saying I bought this at $279.99, which feels like an amazing price to get a blazing fast 2TB M.2 NVME SSD. If you can get it around this price, don't hesitate, just buy it! PROS: Lightning Quick speeds across the board. Windows 10 boot times feel non-existent with how quick this SSD is. I have not done any benchmarking for the read/write times but so far everything I have thrown at it has been handled with ease. It's only PCIe Gen 3 and there are other M.2s out there with better read/write speeds (at much higher prices too). Unless you need PCIe Gen 4 and/or have a PCIe Gen 4 compatible motherboard (which I do...I'm rocking the MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk, yet I still chose this SSD), there is no reason to pass up on this drive. CONS: None so far I'd highly recommend buying this M.2 SSD... with one caveat. Wait until you can get a good price for it. At the time of writing this review, it's going for $399.99, which seems very steep. My recommendation would be to wait until the price drops closer to $300 if you're looking to get great value and a great SSD. I am so happy I bought it for under $300!

A computer tech relative recommended the Crucial brand for reliability. Installation was relatively easy for a non-techie and there have been no issues at all. The Crucial website made it easy to determine which products are compatible with my particular pc and also provided installation instructions that were easy to understand. I'm glad I caught it on sale at BestBuy!

I bought primarily for gaming, which is a little overkill, but I had the MOBO space. I think it's been as low as 150, so definitely snag it if it goes to that price.

NVME M.2 2280

Other than that, this nvme is as advertised and works great.

- A:Answer the mother board user manual says that's it's m.2 socket can handle both gen 2 and gen 3 speeds. So it looks like it should work and it run at gen 3 speeds.

Q: QuestionHow do I setup a raid array with this like combined storage? Current SSD is a micron 2210. I have a gaming laptop and want to future proof it, I want to use this SSD because its the same manufacturer and I'm hoping will be extremely compatible.

- A:Answer Thank you for your interest in our products and for your question. The expansion slot on the PS5 systems is currently disabled by Sony and will not accept any brand or type of additional SSD's being added at this time. This means that we have not been able to test out the Crucial P5 series and cannot confirm whether it will work or not until the expansion slot has been unlocked. The latest news that we have seen is that Sony might possibly unlock the expansion bay by the Summer of 2021 but you will want to reach out to them directly for further information on this subject.
