A: Hey Matt, when I first got it I had the same problem. Don't know if you tried but along with the power switch on the back, there's a power button on the front. If you see the clear panel on the front, the bottom part is the power which you press in.

A: Yes. There are 3 open memory slots that can be used to expand the memory to I believe up to 64 GB. Make sure you buy the correct type of memory, though.
