Q: Does it support Dell active pen PN556W? Does the package include pen? Thx
A: Dell's site lists compatibility for that pen with this laptop (it lists XPS 9365 which is the model number for this laptop). However, no, the laptop itself doesn't come with a stylus (I'm looking at buying that same stylus and trying it myself).
Q: Are adapters included with the machine, for older USB input/output devices?
A: YES. There is a "dongle" included which provides 1 USB 3.1 Also note mini docking stations with HDMI, USB2.0, 3.1 and LAN are available from BestBuy for as little as $24.00.
Q: What is the hard drive speed? 2.4 Ghz?
A: Are you asking about the processor speed? If so, here's what mine states (it's a quad core i7): Intel Core (TM) i7-7Y75 CPU @ 1.3 GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.6Ghz If you're asking about the SSD, I didn't benchmark mine, but I read a review on a similar model to this (with a smaller SSD), and it stated: "The Dell's PCIe SSD averaged a transfer rate of 187 MBps, which beats the ultraportable category average (176.9 MBps) and the Acer Spin 7 (124.1 MBps). But again, the Yoga 910 and the Spectre x360 turned in speedier scores of 195.7 MBps and 318.1 MBps, respectively." Go here for the full review: http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/dell-xps-13-2-in-1 Overall, I'm pretty happy with this machine. The one annoying thing is the long boot time (before you get to the Dell logo) - I expect that's a BIOS issue as it's before Windows actually boots, so hopefully they'll fix it in a future BIOS update - I've seen mentions of this on various sites. The other thing is the new USB-C connectors (only 2 total on the machine, and 1 doubles as your power input) - as we're still living in a legacy USB world, I went out and bought a couple of adapters (I assume we'll eventually all be using that in lieu of the old USBs). Otherwise, it's a very nice machine. I'd give it 8/10, and 9/10 if they fix the slow boot.
A: You will have to check the listed compatible computers. I believe the Dell Digital Stylus is the pen which is compatible with the XPS 13. But it depends on the build as well. Digital Pens are fickle. It may take your purchase and return several times to get one which is satisfactory.
