Fly Responsibly:
Before takeoff, update all software and firmware, and read the instructions thoroughly.
See the FAA website for registration requirements and information about flying a drone safely: https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/. Additional state or local requirements may apply. Check your local jurisdiction. The following websites may help you make informed decisions about flying your drone: www.knowbeforeyoufly.org and www.modelaircraft.org.
A: The controller uses a WIFI signal from the aircraft to connect to it, you do not actually need wifi access to fly the drone.
Q: Is there any sort of warranty offered on this? I can't seem to find how to purchase one.
A: I did not see the typical GeekSquad warranty available to purchase, but you can buy DJI Care Refresh direct from DJI for $89 as of 3/19/2018. You have to buy within 48 hours of activation, so hold off on activating the Air if you're not quiet ready to purchase the care refresh.
Q: Does it fly well on windy days? What's maximum mph for wind
A: It held its own very well. If I hazard a guess, I would say between 15 to 20 mph winds. One problem I had was with the gimbal. I had a filter on it. At the beginning of the flight, all was well. In the last five minutes of the flight the gimbal started to act up. I got an overload warning. It followed the movements of the quad instead of stabilizing. I have since flown the MA in calmer winds with no problems. It seems the gimbal couldn't keep up in high winds with a filter. Other than that, the MA flies flawlessly.
A: Yes, all 3 colors should be available soon!
A: DJI is it's own brand name. Mavic Air/pro will work with both Apple and Android.
A: It’s GPS All the DJI drones use gps except the Tello ($100) I believe it’s an error on Best Buy’s site
Q: Will an iPhone 10x Max fit in the controller for the DJI Mavic Air Drone?
A: Little big but it’s fit in
Q: do i have to register it with faa if i.m taking it to another country
A: Register with only the country that you are going to fly. Some countries are very strict about drones, but register is easy. Be safe than sorry. Hope this helps. PS: Cuba doesn't let drones in to the country so don't even bring it there. :)
