Q: Is the heating plate ceramic?
A: Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The main body for the Dyson Airwrap is made from glass filled nylon and high performance polymers. The insides are made from material such as rubber seals, stainless steel and acrylic. Each Airwrap™ barrel is made from glass filled nylon. The brush is also made from glass filled nylon, with silicone and nylon bristles. The brush itself doesn't heat, rather you'll control heated air from the wand portion of the Airwrap. The small round volumizing brush is 1.65" in diameter, the regular volumizing brush is 2.21" in diameter.
