Description
Features
Upright vacuum cleaner for carpets, hard floors and stairs
Tackles all your vacuuming chores with a special focus on pet hair that tends to embed deep into the fibers of carpets and upholstery.
Tangle-free turbine tool for targeting dirt and hair
Uses counter-rotating heads instead of brush bars so pet hair and other debris won't catch and wind around it. Suctions dirt from all directions for effective cleaning.
Motorized brush bar reaches deep for dirt
Stiff nylon bristles move carpet pile and get at ground-in dirt. The brush bar is more powerful than previous models, but can be turned off to protect delicate rugs and preserve hard floor surfaces.
Soft dusting brush for upholstery and delicate surfaces
Fine nylon bristles gently remove dust while a felt strip down the middle of the brush helps protect surfaces.
Stiff bristle brush for dried-on dirt and mud
Stiff and angled bristles work on carpet or upholstery to break up stubborn, ground-in dirt.
Strong suction at the cleaner head
Automatically adjusts to different floor types to improve overall suction.
Bagless Radial Root Cyclone technology for increased suction
No more clogged bags or filters. Flow efficiencies reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure while trapping microscopic particles in the inner cyclones.
Easy maneuvering around furniture and baseboards
The pivoting ball makes steering easier. Since more technology resides inside the ball, there's less external machinery to interfere with your turns.
Easy emptying features
Releases dirt and debris into the trash with the press of a button. The clear bin lets you easily see when it needs emptying.

Q: Questionwhat is the difference between DC41 and DC65?It appears that the specifications for DC41 and DC 65 are the same. What is the difference?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi it's Joe from Dyson, Thank you for your inquiry. The main difference between DC41 and DC65 is that DC65 has 25% more power in the brushbar motor to remove dust and dirt from carpets. The cyclones in DC65 have been re-tuned, meaning that the geometry of the inlets as well as the diameter of the vortex finders have been modified to allow more airflow to pass through them. Q: QuestionHOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO PUSH/PULL VAC OVER MEDIUM PILE CARPETIS IT APPROPRIATE FOR HARDWOOD FLOORS??
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Extremely easy. Pullback isn't that bad. Most vacuums make you feel like you're fighting the power head just to get back for your next swipe, this just seems to flow. It will work on hardwood, but Dyson cautions the user in the manual not to leave it in one place to long, or you could damage the floor. There is a button which turns off the brush for hardwood floor, so you're cleaning with suction only. That's how Dyson recommends you clean the hardwood floors with this model.

Q: QuestionHow do I release the wand on my DC 25I have a DC Animal 25. I just got it from a thrift store and have cleaned all of the filters. It appears to be in excellent condition. I have an older Dyson without the ball and am familiar with most of the features. I can get the wand to extend on my old vacuum by pressing in on the yellow plastic which is located above the on/off switch on my older vacuum. This area to press in to release the wand is not on the DC 25. How do I release the wand. I can't get it to come out so I can use it?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi this is Jessica with Dyson. The DC25 wand is a quick draw wand - no need to press a release. Flip the cap that covers the wand and pull straight up on the wand, the wand and handle should disconnect from the machine. Keep in mind the power cord but be unwound first. If for any reason this does not work please email askdysonus@dyson.com - we are happy to help resolve this issue. Best wishes, Jessica

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between DC65 animal and DC65 animal complete
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Simply the number of tools/accessories included. You get more with the "complete" version. I have the complete and don't use half the tools. In hindsight I would just purchase the NON-COMPLETE version. It's all marketing.

Q: QuestionAre any Dyson vacuums self-propelled?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I don't think so but they are very lightweight. I had a Hoover Windtunnel that was self-propelled....it actually was harder to maneuver than the Dysan...we love it!

Q: QuestionIs this vacum able to reach under sofas and chairs and other low to the floor furniture? Also, can it be used on carpet and wood and tiled floors? Is this vacum able to reach under sofas and chairs and other low to the floor furniture? Also, can it be used on all floor types like carpeted and wood and tiled?
Asked by Joelaf.
- A:Answer Yes, it can reach under these areas with a decent amount of clearance. I can vacuum a few inches under the couch with ease and picks up at the edges as well. It can be used on carpet and hard floors, it automatically adjusts the height of the cleaning brush and there is a simple easy to push button that turns the beater bar on and off.
