Stick vac with a lot of power....
Posted .This stick vac is a beast on solid floors as well as carpets with the included attachments. Living at the beach, you tend to get more sand on your floor than what's at the beach some days. And the dachshunds don't seem to help matters either. Those little low riders will bring in a dune on their undersides if you are not careful. I was pleased with how the fluffy roller and the super auction picks up sand and other debris on solid floor without flinging it across the room. The collection bin is super simple to empty without even touching the yuck. Yes the battery only lasts for about 20 minutes (manual says 6 minutes when using max mode, but mine seems to keep on sucking past the 6 minute mark), but this vac is perfect for those quick and dirty little daily cleaning jobs like the entry way, kitchen floor, dog beds, and yes your vehicle. I was so impressed with this vac that I purchased a second for mom. The light weight and ease of use is perfect for those days when the RA is set in.

Works Well
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendvac works well, on sale it's a good deal coming with more attachments than the more expensive v6 motorhead (399.99 vs 379.99). No need for an in depth review all these handhelds are exactly the same. For a large home get the v8 or corded, 20 mins wont be enough. If you have an apartment or under 1000sqft should work well. Can kinda clean an entire car on one charge if it's super dirty on regular setting, no way on max. If you keep up with cleaning would be no issue to max power clean any car out before the battery dies.

Easy to Use, Does whole house!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI own a Dyson like this so I bought this one for my oldest son's family. Pro: Mine is so easy to use, is always charged and ready to go, and the most amazing thing is that it will do all the hardwood and tile areas in my house (about 3000 square feet) on one charge. It is the "go to" vacuum in my home. Con: While this vac always has a strong suction, the texture of some rugs can tax the floor rotor motor and battery.

Love my cordless vacuum
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have a LOT of wood floors and often its hard to sweet everything. I also wanted something easy to pull off the wall and quickly clean the floors without plugging it in or worrying about how far my cord will go. This device does the trick! I had a different model that just wasn't doing the trick. I knew I should have invested in a dyson in the first place. Plus, this has so many attachments. I can't say I love cleaning now but it sure does make it easier!

Had to try it out!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have only used it a few times but, so far I like it. It makes cleaning cobwebs, stairs, or just a quick tidy up pretty easy. I got it on sale. I really wanted the V8 but, that was just too expensive. The V8 offers better suction and longer battery run time. This is not a replacement for your regular vacuum, but a very nice addition for everything I mentioned above.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this v6 and the new v8 stick?
Asked by 1234.
- A:Answer Hi there! Thank you for your interest in the Dyson cordless. The V8 is newer with more suction power at 115 air watts while the V6 has 100. The battery life is also longer on the V8. It will get 7 minutes in MAX mode. 25 minutes in standard mode with the motorized cleaner head attached and 30 minutes with the soft roller cleanerhead or mini motorized tool attached. 40 minutes for any other tool. The V6 will get 20 minutes in standard mode and 6 in MAX. The V8 also features a new bin eject feature and easy quick release system for attachments. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Q: QuestionIs there an option to turn off the beater bar? I have floor rugs that can't be vacoomed with a beater bar.
Asked by Milly.
- A:Answer Hi Milly, This is Carissa with Dyson. The brush bar does not turn off on the cordless units. We would recommend the Articulating Hard Floor tool for the rugs.

This machine is great for quick clean ups and in between cleanings and is designed to work on all common floor types, such as laminate flooring. It features a brush bar with carbon fiber filaments with an anti-static property to help pick up the stubborn dust from bare floors. Kind regards, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Q: QuestionI purchased from Best Buy a dyson "stick vacuum" two years ago, uncertain of model. I have used it only twice. It is incredibly annoying that the on button must be held while using. Is this the same with all Dyson battery models?
Asked by BillyBoyMilwaukee.
- A:Answer Hi there! Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Cordless. All of the cordless machines require that you hold the trigger to engage the machine and turn it on. This allows you to have continuous suction for the duration that the trigger is held. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Q: QuestionWe have the standard V6 and two long haired Shelties. The hair wraps around the motor/brush connection and basically makes this unusable. There is no way to fix it without disassembling the whole head. Does this model have the same issue??
Asked by tacomaboy.
- A:Answer The vacume is doing what all brushed vacuumed will do. The brushes are gonna trap the hair. No solution. I'd think about a irobot because they used rubber paddles to agggitate the floor. Might work better. Or you could always get other dogs. ;)
