A: It does show date and time. Battery life depends on many factors. I purchased USB solar panels which keep my cameras charged, so I don’t need to worry about battery life
A: The batteries are rechargeable. They are built in, so when time to recharge, you just take camera down and plug camera in to recharge. Battery life should be 6 mos. up to 1 year depending on how you have camera set up to record. As far as memory storage is concerned, it is built in, and cannot be expanded, but is not a problem. Cameras do not record constantly, only record when triggered by movement. The built in storage is more than adequate, and if capacity is reached, newest files will over write oldest files, likely to be many, many months old, if not more. Video quality is excelllent, IMO better than equivalent Arlo model. Very satisfied with my setup.
A: Open your Eufy app. Scroll all the way down until you see your base. Click on the settings symbol next to the base image. You should see Ethernet as your connection. Click on that and you will see the option to switch to Wifi connection. Just follow the on screen instructions. It’s very simple. However, if you want a strong connection don’t go too far from your router.
A: This system does allow you to use it on wi-fi mode only, if desired to get closer connection with cameras. This may affect lag time however, depending on your amount of bandwidth available.
A: It depends on so many factors that you really need to try it on your home network to find out. I know that’s not the answer you were looking for, but every house is different, so there is no reliable spec.
A: No. I tried to mount it on a ceiling and I was not able to. The provided mount only allows a limited angle of movement. With a ceiling mount, you would need to aim the camera around 90°, but the mount doesn't allow that much angle. It is designed to be wall mounted, aimed almost straight ahead, and just angled slightly downward.
Q: WILL THIS SYSTEM WORK THROUGH AN ANDROID CELL PHONE? ALL I SEE IS APPLE
A: It works fine on my android phone and tablet.
Q: What's the difference the eufy Cam 2 and the Pro version?
A: 2 Pro has 2K resolution (higher than 1080p) provided your wifi is fast enough to handle it.
