I absolutely love this show! It's so funny and imaginative! There i just nothing else like it. I was so excited that I was able to FINALLY find it in stock and in the correct format somewhere! It makes me love Best Buy even more! The season came in good condition. Packaging could've been a little better, but they came unharmed and ready for viewing! Yay! Also, if you like this show, definitley check out Warehouse13! Easily two of my favorite shows ever!

Victim of a writers' strike, "Eureka" carries on!

The third season of this excellent show was marred by a writers' strike which resulted in a ten-month hiatus (that unfortunately is now SyFy standard treatment of their series) in the middle of the series. That gap which led to the season being issued in two DVD sets (3.0 and 3.5) instead of one is the main reason I give my lowest rating to these two sets (plus that one of my favorite characters is mostly absent doing time). Otherwise, still more quirky, edge-of-the-knife events keep the Sheriff busy and the viewers entertained.

The TV show gets better, the packaging gets worse

The TV series itself gets even better in Season 3 with multiple interesting story arcs, like what's below the town of Eureka. The characters are more consistent and more enjoyable. Sadly, for the improvements in the stories and characters, the packaging takes a bad step when they decide to go with half-seasons. Even on sale, they cost the same as full seasons of other shows and there aren't as many extras. Good thing for us that we have all of the episodes from Season 3 onward on our DVR, although that's not much good for anyone else.

The second half of an otherwise excellent season..

As I noted in my review of Season 3, a writers' strike forced a ten-month gap in the middle of this season, resulting in the issuance of two DVD sets for the single season - the only reason I give such a low rating for a series that still entertains. The death of a series regular continues to haunt and the chemistry between the Sheriff and Allison (which I LOVED) seems to be put on hold. But hang on...!

One of our favorite shows, but not on DVD!

This is one of our favorite shows. Season 3 was very enjoyable but you're only getting half of it here. We're thankful that we've got all of seasons 3 - 5 on our DVR because there's no way we'd buy half-seasons of any show for full-season prices! Even the sale prices are effectively double those of other full-season shows. The special features aren't as good as full-season collections of other shows, either.

By far, this was one of the better seasons of Eureka. Sherrif Carter, Allison and the great minds of GD were all in full force and the series began to grow in leaps and bounds. There were some great times when the science took a back seat to character development. Great times ahead for the Eureka crowd!

My wife doesn't like SciFi shows, but it took her one episode to get hooked and bought the rest of the series to get her caught up. This show is amazing and alway seems to get better with every new episode of season 4. The science can be a little far fetched at times but seems to be based of actual theories.

My husband got me hooked on this show the first season. It has now become a weekly family viewing ritual. The storylines are always interesting and inventive. The ensemble performances of the cast members are top notch. I agree with the other reviewers – wish there were more episodes in a season.
