Amazing. Crystal clear audio and video of the story that pays homage to one of the greatest video games in history.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is really a love letter to fans of the original game more than anything, but there is still a fun time to be had for a blind watcher. The Cg models are definitely a little aged compared to modern movies, but the art direction helps to even that stuff out, and the 4k resolution helps make the film look a little fresher than you might remember if its been some time since you’ve seen the film, especially with the additional scenes. Sizeable extras rounds out the package, and you got yourself a pretty good video game movie!

I always wondered why this was not released in theater. I played final fantasy 7 in elementary school. 20 years later I still find enjoyment in watching the sequel in high definition without the grind of playing a game. I gave my first copy to a friend and had to buy it again because of how cool this movie is. The film has one of nobuo uematsu’s greatest compositions “one wing angel”. If you haven’t seen this movie and you are reading this what are you waiting for. Do yourself the favor and buy this.
