Gamera: The Awakening of Iris [DVD] [1999]

Gamera has stood the test of time as one of the most popular monsters in Japanese fantasy cinema, and Gamera 3: Awakening of Iris, the third film in the revived Gamera series, gets the royal treatment in its release on DVD. The disc features both the original Japanese language soundtrack, as well as an alternate audio track dubbed in English; optional English subtitles are also available. In addition to the full-length feature, the disc includes a wealth of supplementary material, including an interview with special effects artist Shusuke Kaneko, an alternate commentary track with the film's production staff, footage of press conferences and promotional events staged to publicize the film, outtakes and deleted material, and the film's original theatrical trailer and television advertising spots.
