We were looking for a reasonable priced GPS and were drawn to this - mainly because it comes in colors for the wife ( we got RED!!). We were able to fire it up in the Best Buy parking lot and entered our home address. We were surprised by how up to date the maps already were. We live in an area that has changed drastically in the last 2 years. The only real annoying thing was it kept trying to take us on a toll road. I didnt figure out till recently that if you hit the detour button it would avoid the current road designated. We love it and has cut down on the arguments in the car on our way to unkown areas.

Love the Garmin GPS. I have one I use all the time. Don't leave home without it. So I bought daughter this one for Christmas. She loves it. I really like being able to select a color. Red matched her truck. It is easy to use, fits in your purse and great to take anywhere. Would be good for anyone, should always have one in case you get lost or detoured due to accidents or construction. Would definately recommend the Garmin over other leading brands.

It's a great GPS for the price. This is my first GPS system and i think it is a great one at that. I like that it is very slim and easy to use. Used it to get to Cedar Point from my home in southern ohio got me there in the fastest time possible. Also love the red color it matches my car!!! :) The only draw back is that the description said it says street names aloud and it does not. But it doesnt matter i still love it.

My 60 year old mom recently moved down south and did'nt know her way around. She would only go out in the daytime with family so she would'nt get lost. I figured this would be the perfect christmas gift to help her get around alot easier. She LOVED IT especially the color because it matched her car (red) she said it was very easy to set-up and she uses it everyday. It's small enough to put right in her purse. Now she can travel when the sun goes down and always get home safely and in the shortest distance.

I bought this to replace my old Magellan. But was dissapointed to find out that it didn't beep when you had reached the point where you were supposed to follow the directions (i.e. turn right). You probably learn to work with out it but the beep is awfully nice. We also found out the hard way that some of the poi's don't really exist. We put into a big wherehouse store and was dropped off in a ritzy neighborhood then when we tried to pull up the other locations that had previosly been displayed they wouldn't come up you had to specificaly list the city you wanted to look in the store only ended up being 18 miles away but wouldn't list it as in the area. The Magellan on the other hand will list up to hundreds of miles away if it has to.
when we routed to the next two locations it worked really hard to keep us off the interstate even though we didn't use the avoidences and had put fastest time. I ended up returning this gps and spending just a little more on the more reliable Magellan.

I purchased this for my step daughter who loves to travel, she replaced this one with our 3 year old one and have had no complaints. The maps are more up to date. We are going to purchase one of these ourselves now she has had such good luck with it.

i bought this product for my trip to san francisco,ca. as i was planning to go to a lot of attractions/location within the bay area and am really planning to drive although commuting is also an option. we've been to vallejo, napa valley, monterey bay, santa cruz, san jose and downtown sf without getting lost or wasting precious gas. my only tip for 1st time users of this gadget is to not to listen too much from the voice prompt. it's very distracting and sometimes confusing. i would suggest that you look onto the map and take note on the place where you need to exit or a street that you need to turn. cali roads can get very confusing and a lot of crazy drivers too. even if the voice prompt is asking you to turn this way, take note if you're really turning into the right street or exit otherwise it'll still recalculate. i guess since it was my 1s time to use the gadget i relied too much on it that sometimes am not even thinking if am going in the right way.
