A:AnswerHi Chas - Model GFQ14ESSNWW is not designed for sink installation. We suggest GE® Space-Saving 2.8 cu. ft. Capacity Portable Washer with Stainless Steel Basket Model #: GNW128PSMWW. you can quickly connect the washer hoses to a standard kitchen or bathroom sink with included unicoupler. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
A:AnswerThere's a lint trap in the bottom right front corner of the machine to catch things like loose threads, coins, and other debris. But there's no lint trap like the mesh screen type in a conventional dryer. The large black rubber gasket/door seal gets a lot of lint on it during the dry cycle. I always clean this off with a baby wipe between loads. I haven't had any problems with lint balls being left on clothes so far.
A:AnswerHi Alpine - Thanks for your interest in GE! A typical load would be 3 jeans, 3 shirts and 2 pants or a queen size sheet set. We suggest viewing "Loading Examples" on page 15 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000230-2.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Thanks for reaching out. Great question. The dryer can be set to run without a wash. By selecting Timed Dry and selecting your settings, the dryer can run without a wash cycle first. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerThis is a great question! We're happy to help. During dry cycles, the temperatures inside can get very hot. For this reason, the door will lock during the dry cycle and remain locked, after pausing or at the end of the cycle, until temperatures cool down. Forcing the door open will result in a broken door mechanism. Please let us know if you have any other questions we can help with! -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerOk so use a letter opener or knife and gently put into slot on vent cover and gently push down to open the door. You need a flat pan to put under it after you have opened it because you need to unplug the water tube and let any existing water drain out and then turn the inside mechanism to pull out the lint trap. Remember yo reinsert the plug on the water line after drained. I would use something like a cookie sheet to hold the water when it comes out.
A:AnswerHi MAJ! Thanks for your question. We found that you cannot install casters on this unit. We only recommend installing the unit as it is listed in the installation instructions. We're sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. Stay safe. Emily@GEA
