- A: AnswerI have this same refrigerator with a 32 inch door way and because the handles stick out so far I had to remove all of the doors in order to get the refrigerator into the doorway

- A: AnswerHi Dipan, was your refrigerator delivered new in box or open box? If your fridge was delivered new in box there should be a filter included. If your fridge was delivered open box there may not be a filter or bypass filter plug installed. Make sure that your water is turned on and that the fridge has a filter or bypass filter plug installed. If there is not filter or plug installed the water and ice dispenser will not function. According to the manual a filter or bypass plug is required for ice and water dispenser to function. I will attached a photo from the manual that displays this information. In order to obtain a free bypass plug you can contact GE and they can ship you one. Make sure to take note of what style filter or bypass plug you need because there are a few styles available.

- A: AnswerHi Kamz - Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. There is not a separate temperature control for the water dispenser. Thanks for your interest! Sue

Excellent Fridge
Remember, fridges last 10+ years, so spend the money! We are very pleased with the amount of space the fridge provides. Beautiful slate color. Has led lighting and the freezer is huge.

GE French Door Fridge - Purrs Like a Kitty Cat!
My new GE refrigerator, Model: GFE26JEMTFDS in Black Slate was delivered yesterday and it is so beautiful and everything is working great. It is so big and roomy. It replaced a 2003 Kenmore refrigerator that was starting to die and I needed a new one. I love this color and never had an appliance look so great. In the pictures, it looks gray, but it is black, not a glossy black but a matte black. Fingerprints disappear. Cooling is excellent in the fridge and freezer. Water tastes great, ice is working already and stored out of the way. I took out one half shelf because I needed to put larger things under it. After I get used to it, I will figure out how to utilize the space better and put it back in. There are so many possibilities. Meat, vegetable and fruit drawers are huge but you can clearly see everything. I like the french doors versus side by side doors because I can store a pizza or longer items on the continuous shelf. I was concerned about the bottom freezer since I have spine issues, but it is great and easy to access. Now I have to fill it up with lots of food!!
